If you&rsquo;re an animal owner, you&rsquo;ll definitely know that they are sensitive creatures especially when it comes to hearing the sound of something loud such as thunder.
Some of us can observe that our pets tend to hide or even stay by our side during thunderstorms but remember that there are strays out there trying to run around and seek the best shelter they can from mother nature.
Recently, a post went viral on social media as an undisclosed 99 Speedmart had helped shelter a stray dog during a thunderstorm. In fact, this isn&rsquo;t the first time this store had let a dog seek refuge inside when it gets scared of the thunder.

A customer had spotted the scared dog who was hiding at the bottom of a shelve. As the dog had found it to be it&rsquo;s safe spot, it had definitely got many netizens harts to warm. The post was initially uploaded on Facebook and then went viral on Twitter with 12.8K retweets and 26.4K likes at the time of writing this.

A good majority of netizens had prised the employee for letting a few stray animals seek shelter in the store. In fact, it isn&rsquo;t just dogs but also cats who seek shelter from the thunderstorm in other Speedmarts too.
It&rsquo;s tough for strays out there as they don&rsquo;t have proper shelter from the elements. Not to mention that they don&rsquo;t have food too. It&rsquo;s good that many netizens advice to show as much care to strays whenever possible.

But with positive comments, there also comes some negative ones. I mean we are all human, there&rsquo;s always someone who won&rsquo;t agree with some statements. 
Not everybody is comfortable with having animals in a convenient store especially those who are Muslim due to religious beliefs. Others also deemed it as unhygienic for animals to stay at shops that sell food supplies. This is due to the worries of cleanliness and allergies that could trigger onto a person.
But on a slightly smarter note, the dog actually took shelter at the pet food section, so it won&rsquo;t disturb the cleanliness of the food and items humans consume.

Datin Vivy Sofinas Yusof and her husband, Datuk Fadzarudin Shah Anuar &mdash; co-founders of the once-celebrated fashion and e-commerce brands FashionValet and dUCk &mdash; are set to stand trial in 2026 for allegedly misappropriating RM8 million in investment funds. Instead, the high-profile couple is accused of transferring the RM8 million from FashionValet Sdn Bhd into a separate entity they also owned &mdash; 30 Maple Sdn Bhd &mdash; without obtaining approval from FashionValet&rsquo;s board of directors. The alleged financial misconduct is said to have taken place on 21 August 2018 at Public Bank&rsquo;s Bukit Damansara branch in Kuala Lumpur.
Trial Dates Set for 2026

Vivy and Fadzarudin, both aged 37, were not present during the recent case management hearing on 23 June 2025, as their legal counsel had secured an exemption from court attendance. The couple continues to be represented by lawyer M. Athimulan.
Pleading Not Guilty to CBT and Alternative Charge

Both Vivy and Fadzarudin have pleaded not guilty to all charges.

This shift impacts more than 23.6 million domestic electricity users in Peninsular Malaysia.
Rather than relying on traditional tiered or block-based pricing, the new structure breaks down your bill into five main components:
