The most difficult thing about using a dating app per say is finding someone to match your energy and personally, it&rsquo;s difficult to just talk to someone online. It is not as genuine as face-to-face interaction.

Recently, Tinder has introduced a new feature which is a quiz called Vibes. The feature pops out once a week and will ask users an assortment of goofy questions. Example, &ldquo;_____ is not a picnic food&rdquo; and &ldquo;Are you always 20 minutes early or 10 minutes late?&rdquo;
Users that answer this will be visible on their profile to others who have taken the quiz. If the two were to swipe and match on each other, the answers will also appear in their chat.

The answers on Vibes are temporary and can vanish after a few days. This will make users return to the app to answer new questions the following week.

Shameless to say, I&rsquo;m on a dating app but only cause my co-worker made me download it (you know who you are) but Vibes reminds me of the questions Bumble allows users to put on their profile. But rather than disappearing, it says on the profile till you update it.
According to Tinder, they have already bene testing this feature since last year and it has &ldquo;increased likes and matches across the board.&rdquo; Although, the company did not reveal any specific figures on how much it increased, but it seems like Vibes is one of the latest attempts on increasing engagement and give users more to talk about.
For those using Tinder, this feature will be available to all by late May 2021.
Looks like everyone&rsquo;s got to get creative and see who can match up to one another&rsquo;s crackhead energy.

Vibe Check: Tinder Will Quiz to Help You Find a Match

The Kuala Lumpur&ndash;Karak Highway, a crucial artery connecting the capital to the eastern states, has long been a favourite weekend playground for motor enthusiasts. Its sweeping bends and picturesque mountain views attract convoys of high-powered motorcycles and spirited motorists seeking the thrill of open-road riding.
Yet, despite its appeal, authorities have continually reminded the public that such stretches are not substitutes for a racetrack. Public roads carry unpredictable risks &mdash; from potholes and loose gravel to sudden weather changes &mdash; making reckless behaviour a dangerous gamble.
Last Sunday (27 April), a series of crashes involving high-powered motorcycles at KM43.4 of the eastbound highway near Bentong served as a stark reminder of these dangers.
Dramatic Crash Captured on Camera

A chilling video of the incident, recorded on a helmet-mounted camera, swiftly went viral across social media platforms, sparking concern among road users and safety advocates alike.
In the footage, the camera wearer can be seen approaching a sharp bend when a motorcyclist ahead leans heavily into the corner. Midway through the turn, the rider&rsquo;s bike suddenly loses grip and lowsides, sending both man and machine sliding across the asphalt and into the grass verge.
As the cameraman pulls over in the emergency lane to offer assistance, a second rider, perhaps caught out by the same road conditions or distracted by the incident, suffers a similar fate. His motorcycle slides violently across the road towards the stationary rider, narrowly avoiding a direct collision.
Mere seconds later, a third motorcyclist skids into view, his bike scraping along the tarmac and throwing up sparks before slamming into the roadside barrier. The rider himself is seen tumbling along the ground before coming to rest near the crash site.

One Rider Injured, Two Others Missing

Following the crash, one of the riders was able to be located by authorities and was found to have sustained injuries to his right leg. According to Bentong District Police Chief, Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar, the injured rider is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
However, attempts to contact the other two riders involved have so far been unsuccessful. The Bentong District Police Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division is actively working to track them down for their statements.
Superintendent Zaiham confirmed that initial investigations suggest all three motorcycles lost control while attempting to navigate the bend, resulting in them skidding and crashing into the drain located on the left shoulder of the highway.
Investigation Underway

The case is currently being investigated under Section 43 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for careless and inconsiderate driving. If found guilty, the individuals involved could face a fine of up to RM10,000 and/or imprisonment for up to 12 months.
Authorities are also appealing for witnesses who may have been present during the accident to come forward and assist with the investigation, emphasising the importance of public cooperation in ensuring the case is handled swiftly and thoroughly.
The Dangers of Treating Public Roads Like Racetracks

Sunday&rsquo;s accident highlights a concerning trend among certain groups of motorists and bikers who treat public highways as venues for high-speed thrills.
Unlike a closed track, highways present countless variables &mdash; other vehicles, changing surface conditions, debris, and sudden obstacles &mdash; that make high-speed riding exponentially more dangerous. Even experienced riders are not immune to the unexpected, as seen in the viral video where consecutive accidents occurred within mere seconds of each other.

He warned that stern action would be taken against those found treating the highway as a racing circuit. Measures would include regular patrols, roadblocks, and greater surveillance, aimed at deterring reckless driving behaviour and ensuring the safety of all road users.
&ldquo;We will not allow public roads to be misused as racetracks by irresponsible individuals. Safety must remain the top priority,&rdquo; he said firmly.

Excitement surrounding the release of Nintendo&rsquo;s latest console, the Switch 2, has reached fever pitch. Even before launch day, analysts had forecast that the console would sell exceptionally well, "almost regardless of price" &mdash; and early indicators show that prediction to be completely accurate.
Nintendo recently updated its US "How to Buy" webpage to caution customers that "delivery by 5th June is not guaranteed" due to overwhelming demand. Moreover, many fans who signed up through Nintendo&rsquo;s official site may only receive their purchase invitation emails after the system officially launches.

The company is encouraging customers to also check with participating retail partners to secure a unit. However, even those outlets have reported rapid sell-outs, both online and in-store, fuelling a sense of urgency among potential buyers.
While Southeast Asian countries, including Malaysia, are still awaiting official pre-order announcements and local pricing, the current rush abroad offers a strong glimpse of the challenge that could await gamers regionally.

Best Buy faced widespread login problems, while Walmart users reported issues with the retailer&rsquo;s app.
Despite the technical difficulties, stock was completely snapped up within minutes across all major retailers. GameStop commenced its in-person and online pre-orders slightly later, at 11:00am ET, but similarly experienced swift sell-outs. As of now, Amazon has not opened Switch 2 pre-orders, though they are expected to follow closer to the launch.
Nintendo recommends registering through its official website if you have yet to do so. Registration remains free, and those signed up will eventually receive a purchase invitation &mdash; although many may still face a waiting period beyond launch day.
What&rsquo;s New With The Nintendo Switch 2?

When docked, the console supports gaming at up to 4K resolution, delivering stunning visuals for television play. Nintendo has also enhanced the console&rsquo;s audio system with improved internal speakers, while a new dock design featuring an integrated cooling fan helps maintain performance during long gaming sessions.

Internal storage has been boosted to 256GB, and, while still expandable, the Switch 2 now requires newer microSD Express cards for storage expansion. The device also features dual USB-C ports for faster charging and greater flexibility.

Nintendo has confirmed that several new accessories will be available separately, although many have seen slight price increases. The Switch 2 Pro Controller now costs $85 (~RM 371), a second pair of Joy-Con controllers is priced at $95 (~RM415), and the Joy-Con charging grip now retails for $40 (~RM174). Pre-orders for most accessories are already open.
Tariffs, Delays, And Production Shifts

This led Nintendo to delay pre-orders in the US and Canada. However, hours later, Trump announced a 90-day pause on tariffs to allow for further trade negotiations amid volatile stock and bond market movements.
Despite the turbulence, Nintendo has maintained the original retail price of $449.99 (~RM1,963.53) for the standard Switch 2 and $499.99 (~RM2,185.21) for the Mario Kart World Bundle in the US. Nevertheless, the company&rsquo;s statements have left the door open for potential price adjustments in the future, depending on how trade discussions evolve.
To mitigate the risk of tariff impacts, Nintendo has been shifting more of its production to Vietnam &mdash; a move initially started in 2019. While Vietnam&rsquo;s reciprocal tariff was originally proposed at 46%, it is currently subject to a much lower 10% rate during the 90-day reprieve.
Still, Nintendo faces a significant challenge in meeting global demand. In Japan alone, a staggering 2.2 million people entered the Switch 2 pre-order lottery, far outstripping the initial available inventory.
Global Launch Plans Remain On Track
Despite the setbacks and overwhelming early demand, Nintendo has reassured fans that the global launch date for the Switch 2 remains set for 5th June 2025. Notably, pre-orders in regions outside of North America, including the United Kingdom, proceeded as originally scheduled without delays.
The Switch 2 marks Nintendo&rsquo;s most significant console release since the original Switch debuted in March 2017. With meaningful upgrades to performance, visuals, and gameplay mechanics, the new console promises to redefine portable gaming once again.
As excitement builds toward release day, securing a unit is already proving to be a formidable challenge. For now, eager gamers are advised to stay alert for future stock updates &mdash; and to be ready to act fast if they want to experience Nintendo&rsquo;s next big leap forward in gaming innovation.
That&rsquo;s certainly a hefty price tag &mdash; and if only the same could be said for the games. Sadly, despite technological advances, console titles still tend to cost more than their PC counterparts, which could deter some from picking up the Switch 2.

However, if there&rsquo;s one habit we need to address, it&rsquo;s our obsession with eating late at night. Sure, lepak sessions at the mamak or wandering through vibrant street food scenes are a big part of our social life &mdash; and undeniably fun &mdash; but we also have to remember the health risks that come with eating heavy meals during the late hours.
The latest National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS) 2024: Nutrition has sounded the alarm over Malaysians&rsquo; eating patterns, highlighting a concerning trend: the rising frequency of late-night heavy meals. Health authorities are now urging the public to rethink their habits before this trend spirals into a bigger national health crisis.
Late-Night Suppers Becoming a Serious Health Issue

According to the findings, a significant proportion of the population &mdash; 41.8 per cent of adolescents and 33.5 per cent of adults &mdash; admitted to consuming heavy meals late at night at least once a week.
Speaking at the launch of the NHMS 2024: Nutrition report, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad advised Malaysians to practise moderation. &ldquo;Before going to bed, reduce the intake of heavy meals. It&rsquo;s not that you can&rsquo;t eat, but always in moderation,&rdquo; he said, emphasising that while occasional indulgence is understandable, consistent late-night eating could have detrimental effects on health.
The NHMS findings point to direct links between heavy late-night meals and several health complications, including disrupted sleep patterns, digestive issues, and an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases. Regular indulgence may also contribute to weight gain, obesity, and a higher risk of metabolic disorders such as diabetes and hypertension.
A Broader Look at Malaysia&rsquo;s Dietary Challenges

The survey findings do not stop at late-night eating. Malaysians' overall dietary habits are also under scrutiny, particularly with regard to sugar and salt consumption &mdash; two factors heavily associated with non-communicable diseases (NCDs) that have been on the rise nationally.
The report reveals that 63.1 per cent of teenagers and 47.0 per cent of adults are consuming sugar in excess of recommended levels. Alarmingly, nearly half of this intake comes from sugary beverages, which remain a popular choice across all age groups despite ongoing health campaigns.
Similarly, salt intake is substantially higher than advised. About 75.9 per cent of adults were found to consume more than 5 grams of salt daily &mdash; equivalent to one teaspoon &mdash; with actual average consumption closer to 7.3 grams. Although there has been a slight improvement compared to previous years, Dr Dzulkefly warned that the figures remain concerning.
&ldquo;These habits, though they may seem minor or occasional, carry major health consequences. They are fuelling the rising rates of obesity, diabetes, and hypertension in the country &mdash; all stemming from our daily food choices,&rdquo; he said
Alarm Over Micronutrient Deficiencies

Beyond sugar and salt, the NHMS 2024 also exposes worrying gaps in micronutrient intake among Malaysians. A significant portion of the population is found to have insufficient iodine levels, with 45.7 per cent falling below the World Health Organisation&rsquo;s recommended standards.
Deficiencies in essential vitamins such as A and C are also widespread. Poor consumption of fruits and vegetables is largely to blame, with the survey showing that only 12.8 per cent of adolescents and 17.1 per cent of adults meet WHO&rsquo;s recommended daily fruit intake. Even fewer &mdash; just 5.2 per cent of adolescents and 12.2 per cent of adults &mdash; consume sufficient vegetables.
Dr Dzulkefly stressed that these figures paint a bleak picture of the nation&rsquo;s nutritional health. &ldquo;We are not eating enough fresh produce. This lack of basic nutrients has significant repercussions, weakening immune systems and heightening vulnerability to illnesses.&rdquo;
Ministry of Health Steps Up With Campaigns and Partnerships

In response to these troubling trends, the Ministry of Health has launched a range of initiatives to encourage healthier eating habits nationwide.
Among the most notable is the War on Sugar Campaign, which aims to extend its outreach to all 222 parliamentary constituencies by 2027. Measures such as reducing the sugar content in instant beverage sachets from 5g to 3g, and the introduction of a sugar-sweetened beverage (SSB) tax, form part of this aggressive push.
Efforts are also being ramped up under the War on Salt Campaign, with a strong focus on public education, clearer nutritional labelling on food products, and greater collaboration with food operators to promote healthier recipes. Dr Dzulkefly said the Ministry is working closely with chefs and local businesses to popularise meals that are lower in sugar and salt without compromising on taste.
Symbolic changes are also being considered, including discontinuing the serving of heavy meals during official late-night events to set a positive example at the government level.
&ldquo;These are not just policies on paper. They are active, strategic moves to shift our national food culture in a healthier direction,&rdquo; Dr Dzulkefly asserted.
A National Call to Action: Start Small, Act Early
Above all, the Health Minister called on Malaysians to take the findings seriously and to view the NHMS 2024 report not merely as a set of statistics, but as an urgent wake-up call.
He encouraged the public to take advantage of free health and nutrition screenings available at Ministry of Health Wellness Hubs and other public health facilities. Early detection of dietary-related risks, he said, is critical in preventing more serious health complications down the line.

Klang Valley residents planning to be out and about on Friday, 26 April, are strongly advised to steer clear of Bukit Jalil, which is set to be inundated with crowds due to two major back-to-back events expected to draw more than 100,000 people.
Malaysia Cup Final and Amy Search Concert Happening Simultaneously

The Malaysia Cup Final between Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) and Sri Pahang FC will kick off at 9.00pm at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium, while rock legend Datuk Amy Search will be performing his Magic Konsert Solo Pertama at the nearby Axiata Arena, starting at 8.30pm.
Originally scheduled for 12 April, the Malaysia Cup Final was postponed to 26 April following requests from the finalist teams. The change allowed fans more time to participate, especially with the Hari Raya celebrations taking place earlier in the month.
Both events are expected to attract huge turnouts &mdash; the stadium alone can accommodate 87,500 spectators, and reports suggest over 60% of football tickets have already been sold, while Amy Search&rsquo;s concert has seen similarly high demand.
Authorities Brace for Major Congestion from 5PM Onwards
