The world is full of strange things happening and we got to give CCTVs credit for being around to catch some of these incidents happening.
Recently in Central Taiwan, a brawl had happened at a KTV and it&rsquo;s made the front page of Reddit and became the talk of social media.

In the video, it showed an elderly man in an orange polo standing in the elevator controls and a young man in a blue shirt had came in and gotten angry with him after the man accidentally tried to shut the doors when he was getting in.

The man identified as Hu, appeared to yell at the man for almost 50 seconds and was companied by another two individuals (male and female). During the heated argument, the old man was also seen bowing down multiple times to the three till they left the lift.

The drama doesn&rsquo;t end there

After the old man had exit the lift, he had bumped into them again and Hu had pestered the man who began being apologetic again. As the bullying continued on a man in a black suit had walked into the action and Hu turned against the man in black instead.
Not long after, the elevator doors had opened up and four men rushed out and started beating Hu and his male companion as they wanted to protect the old man. The fight lasted for quite a bit and had stopped after Hu got knocked out cold on the floor.
According to a report by SETN, Hu and his group of friends were sent to a police station in Taichung City for further investigation. He had suffered mild injuries and scratches. The suspects and hu had not pressed charges against one another but the suspects may be prosecuted for violating the Social Order Maintenance Act.
Who was the old man though?
The Taichung police had said that a rumour had been debunked suggesting that the older man was a local gang leader and was acquaintance with the man in black. The man in black merely said that he had called for his &ldquo;friends working upstairs&rdquo; to come support the old man as he was being threatened.

Although many don&rsquo;t condone violence, many netizens online had shared how they think it was satisfying to see Hu getting the karma he deserved.

&ldquo;The learned trial judge did not fairly evaluate the defence and wrongly treated it as a mere denial,&rdquo; she said. &ldquo;There was no element of dishonesty when Syed Saddiq instructed his staff to withdraw party funds, as he was legally entitled to do so at the time.&rdquo;
The court ruled that the prosecution had failed to prove the core elements of the offences, particularly the intent required for criminal breach of trust (CBT), misappropriation, and money laundering. According to the judgment, the failure to properly direct the trial and the misinterpretation of legal standards warranted full appellate intervention.
The Charges and What They Meant
Syed Saddiq, 32, had been convicted in 2023 on four charges:

The High Court had ordered the sentences for CBT and misappropriation to run consecutively, meaning he faced seven years in jail. The money laundering convictions would have added an additional two years, running concurrently. Syed Saddiq&rsquo;s sentence also included two strokes of the rotan and a RM10 million fine. The sentence had been stayed pending the appeal.
