In April, after calling out her teacher for making rape jokes in class, Ain Husniza has started the #MakeSchoolASaferPlace movement. Not too long after that, social media users and even celebrities also trended the hashtag by sharing their experience to spread awareness on the matter.&nbsp;
Since then, the campaign has been going strong with more people, including <a href="https://www.myc.com.my/articles/124/pakatan-mps-stand-with-ain-husniza-as-school-sends-expulsion-warning-to-her">political parties</a>, showing their support towards Ain with the hashtag #StandWithAin.
With the backlash and support she got, it was not surprise that her journey in stopping rape culture in Malaysian schools has gained recognition from BBC News. On May 17, BBC News uploaded a three minute and six second video on their channel, which compiles the 17-year-old&rsquo;s story from the beginning until now.&nbsp;
In the video entitled &lsquo;The cost of calling out a &lsquo;rape joke&rsquo;&rsquo;, Ain&rsquo;s TikTok video which started the whole journey was shown.&nbsp;

The video also shows Ain&rsquo;s struggles and challenges that she has faced after her video and campaign gained the public&rsquo;s attention and interest. She opened up about how she was scared after receiving a rape threat from a schoolmate, which a senior police officer later said was maybe a 'joke' when she and her father lodged a report.

"I'm being let down by all these adults, all these educators that obviously should know better than me, should obviously know better than us 17-year-olds," Ain said, referring to the negative comments allegedly made by her school principal. Regarding the comments, the Ministry of Education released a statement saying the principal&rsquo;s Facebook account has been hacked.&nbsp;
Ain, in the video, expressed her hopes and intentions behind the campaign. Emphasizing her movement to stop rape cultures in Malaysian schools, she said that, "We want to stop this here. We want to educate. We want to change."
Fortunately for her, she received full support and trust from her parents. Ain&rsquo;s father, Saiful Nizam, who was featured in the video, said "This little girl that I brought up from a baby, wow, she has this bravery all this while in her. I cannot express how proud I am."

In another update, Ain has been chosen by the board members of Yayasan AFS Antarabangsa Malaysia (AFS Malaysia) to participate in its online AFS Global You Changemaker programme.&nbsp;

Baekhyun’s ‘Reverie’ World Tour Is Coming to KL and Singapore!

After ten years of making their mark on the Malaysian music scene &mdash; and in the playlists of countless fans across the region &mdash; pop-rock band Insomniacks are ready to take the stage for their first-ever solo concert. Titled Echoes of a Dream: Insomniacks Live in Concert, the event marks a significant milestone for the beloved group.
From YouTube Covers to Chart-Topping Hits

Insomniacks is a Malaysian pop-rock band that has rapidly emerged as one of the country's most beloved music acts, known for their emotionally charged lyrics, catchy melodies, and youthful energy. Formed in 2015, the band first gained attention by uploading cover songs on YouTube, showcasing their raw talent and chemistry. It wasn&rsquo;t long before they transitioned into crafting their own original sound, debuting with the heartfelt single &ldquo;Selalu&rdquo; in 2017 &mdash; a song that resonated deeply with listeners and was featured on the Astro Ria drama My Coffee Prince.

Their growing influence has earned them numerous accolades, including recognition as one of the Top 5 most-streamed Malaysian artists on Spotify in 2024. With multiple radio hits under their belt, including fan-favorites like &ldquo;Igauan Malam&rdquo;, &ldquo;Reminisensi&rdquo;, and &ldquo;Kepulanganmu&rdquo;, the band&rsquo;s momentum shows no signs of slowing down. Today, the band comprises three members: frontman and lead guitarist Iqie (Syed Mir Iqbal), bassist and vocalist Wan Arif Iskandar, and rhythm guitarist and vocalist Danial Lee Hashim. Previously a quartet, drummer Gavin Wong departed the group in 2022.

SAH Entertainment&rsquo;s Managing Director, Sufi Rashid, called the event a &ldquo;historic moment&rdquo; for the band, noting that the pricing strategy was aimed at including as many fans as possible.

More than a decade since audiences were first dazzled by sleight of hand and cinematic spectacle in Now You See Me, the franchise is poised for a thrilling return. The third instalment, Now You See Me: Now You Don&rsquo;t, promises the most audacious heist yet &mdash; blending the original gang of illusionists with a new wave of rising stars in a high-stakes battle against a dangerous criminal organisation.
The Original Horsemen Saddle Up Again

The film marks the long-awaited reunion of the core cast that captivated fans in the first instalment. Jesse Eisenberg returns as the cerebral and enigmatic J. Daniel Atlas, once again orchestrating plans that blur the line between magic and manipulation. Rejoining him are Woody Harrelson as the hypnotist Merritt McKinney, Dave Franco as sleight-of-hand specialist Jack Wilder, and Isla Fisher as escape artist Henley Reeves &mdash; whose return is particularly notable, as she was absent from the second film.

Her role signals a thematic evolution for the franchise &mdash; pitting illusionists not just against law enforcement or rogue magicians, but against a deeply entrenched criminal power structure. With the addition of Pike and the blending of old and new talent, Now You See Me: Now You Don&rsquo;t is setting the stage for the series&rsquo; most complex battle yet.

To launch the film&rsquo;s marketing campaign, Lionsgate pulled off a real-world publicity stunt straight from the Horsemen&rsquo;s playbook. In the heart of New York City&rsquo;s Times Square, a digital billboard teased fans with the phrase &ldquo;Now You See Me,&rdquo; accompanied by a countdown and a phone number. As the timer hit zero, the display changed to reveal &ldquo;Now You Don&rsquo;t&rdquo; &mdash; and fans who had texted in received instant digital cash giveaways totalling $250,000, as well as exclusive access to the official trailer.
Newcomers Greenblatt, Smith, and Sessa appeared in person to help carry out what Lionsgate dubbed a visual &ldquo;heist,&rdquo; adding to the fanfare and bringing the energy of the franchise&rsquo;s big-screen illusions to real life. It was a fittingly dramatic entrance for a film built on misdirection and flair.
Behind the Curtain: Direction, Production, and the Future
