Introducing T.Ravichandran, a 57-year-old Malaysian man, who regardless of his age and his disabilities, has successfully conquered the <a href="http://everestmountain.co.uk/k2">second highest mountain in the world,</a> the K2. It stands at a whopping 8,611 meters above sea level- only 250 meters shorter from the world&rsquo;s highest peak, Mount Everest, which has a height of 8,848 meters.
"It is not impossible to rise again after falling. That's the experience I gained from my climb on this expedition. This is my gift to the people of Malaysia,&rdquo; says Ravichandran, who&rsquo;s also known as &lsquo;Ravi Everest&rsquo;.

How Was The K2 Hike?
Accompanied by five sherpas (mountain guides), the 57-year-old, together with five other world-class solo climbers, reached the peak of the 8,611 metre-high K2 at 10.50 AM local time on Friday.
This is not Ravichandran&rsquo;s first-time making headlines, as he previously made history when he set his foot once again at Mount Everest for his 3rd time on 12 May, after 2006 and 2007.

"The situation forced me to cry and to urinate in my suit. There was no food or drink, and no place for us to rest because for those 24 hours, we just walked,&rdquo; explained Ravichandran on a Google Meet session in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Why does he love hiking?
"Love for the country, living in peace and harmony, these are the keys to unity instilled in me that proved to be a source of strength for me in facing the difficulties throughout the climb,&rdquo; explained Ravichandran, who described his love for Malaysia as the fuel that kept him going during the climb.
In conjunction with the upcoming August 31, Ravichandran says his success was his gift to Malaysia for its National Day celebration.

Although hiking is a fun outdoor activity, it can also be quite challenging for both beginners and experts, resulting in injuries, cases of hypothermia, or even worse, potential death. The high altitudes and inclination of the mountains makes it harder to breathe, and abrupt changes in weather are also to be expected during climbing.
However, this does not stop mountain climbing enthusiasts from pursuing their lifelong dreams of reaching the peak of the K2, which is known to be one the riskiest and deadliest mountains to ever exist, resulting often times in climbers&rsquo; sudden disappearances or death.

On the morning of July 22, an estimated 145 climbers were all lined up, hanging on a rope line by the side of the K2 mountain, at an altitude of 8199 meters above sea level.

RIIZE Is Finally Coming To Malaysia And Singapore With Their ‘RIIZING LOUD’ Asia Tour

After more than a decade of dazzling performances with EXO and a string of solo hits under his belt, Baekhyun is finally embarking on his first-ever solo world tour &mdash; and it&rsquo;s one for the books. Titled Reverie, the highly anticipated tour will span multiple continents and includes stops in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, marking a significant milestone in Baekhyun&rsquo;s solo journey.
Who Is Baekhyun?

Baekhyun is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and actor renowned for his dynamic vocals and charismatic stage presence. He debuted in 2012 as a member of the K-pop group EXO, as well as its sub-units EXO-K and EXO-CBX, and later became the leader of the supergroup SuperM.

His 2024 album Hello, World was the world's best-selling album by a K-pop soloist that year, with 1.4 million units sold.
Throughout his career, Baekhyun has received numerous accolades, including three consecutive Mnet Asian Music Awards for Best Male Artist from 2019 to 2021. He has also been recognized with awards from the Golden Disc Awards, Melon Music Awards, and Seoul Music Awards.
In 2023, Baekhyun established his own label, INB100, seeking greater creative autonomy while continuing group activities with EXO under SM Entertainment. He embarked on his first solo tour, the Lonsdaleite Tour, in 2024, performing across Asia and showcasing his versatility as an artist.
Beyond music, Baekhyun has ventured into acting, notably starring in the historical drama Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016), for which he received the New Star Award at the SBS Drama Awards. Titled Echoes of a Dream: Insomniacks Live in Concert, the event marks a significant milestone for the beloved group.

Insomniacks is a Malaysian pop-rock band that has rapidly emerged as one of the country's most beloved music acts, known for their emotionally charged lyrics, catchy melodies, and youthful energy. Formed in 2015, the band first gained attention by uploading cover songs on YouTube, showcasing their raw talent and chemistry.
