Public transportation in Malaysia can be one of the most frustrating things on earth sometimes. Lately our trains had been crowded and the frequency between trains have been long and by the time most trains arrive, it&rsquo;s jammed packed inside.

Then comes the question towards taking taxi&rsquo;s around town. Before the times where Grab was a thing, many Malaysians relied on taking it to get around town and back then, its prices can be expensive despite of the condition of the car with it being poorly maintained.
With environmental issues on the rise, many countries now are seeking to boost their public transport infrastructure and this time around Malaysia is now stepping up to solve the pollution issue around town.

Introducing the electric taxi which will soon be running around our roads. The taxi done in collaboration with Tenaga Nasional (TNB) and Mysuri Biz Technologies as they set to deploy 1,000 units. For those who want to ride in the taxi, you&rsquo;ll need to book their service via the TeksiKu service.
As for now, the taxi service will only be available within the Klang Valley and Langkawi as it starts operation in November said CEO Mohd Noor Ghazali. This is in line with the plans by the Minister of Environment and Water (KASA) Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man who&rsquo;s initiated the idea towards building up the EV infrastructure of Langkawi Island due to it&rsquo;s size.
Mohd Noor says that the EV taxis are aimed towards transforming the public transport service and the programme would help taxi drivers to adopt the new technology without needing to fork out a large investment. The EV Taxis will be made available to drivers under a lease-to-own scheme via the Koperasi Jurupandu TeksiKu cooperative.

Striking a bright livery
Rather than the normal looking red and white taxis that many of us are used to seeing, the new EV taxi&rsquo;s will be striking the yellow livery similarly to the taxis in New York.

The charging infrastructure support for the taxis will also be provided by TNB and Mysuri will implement a network of chargers for taxi drivers to recharge their vehicles. Too lazy to download the app? No worries as the company will also be setting up electronic kiosks at strategic locations so you won&rsquo;t require to ride the cap with an app.
In talks of pricing, so far there has been no say on how much a ride will cost with the EV Taxi, so guess we&rsquo;ll have to wait till launch day to find out.
Hopes for a cleaner city

As electric cars are now getting increasingly popular, there are hopes that we can have a less polluted city. If our city infrastructure for public transport improves with the addition of electric cars on the road, we&rsquo;ll definitely see a decrease in air pollution and a decrease of heat in the environment around us.
Now that people are finally realising the goods of an EV vehicle, maybe it might change the minds of other Malaysians to purchase one in hope of a greener Malaysia. But now, I just kinda wish there are more EV chargers around town and outside of town so we&rsquo;ll feel less worried when it comes to needing to charge up.

Who Is Baekhyun?

Baekhyun’s ‘Reverie’ World Tour Is Coming to KL and Singapore!

After ten years of making their mark on the Malaysian music scene &mdash; and in the playlists of countless fans across the region &mdash; pop-rock band Insomniacks are ready to take the stage for their first-ever solo concert. Titled Echoes of a Dream: Insomniacks Live in Concert, the event marks a significant milestone for the beloved group.

Insomniacks is a Malaysian pop-rock band that has rapidly emerged as one of the country's most beloved music acts, known for their emotionally charged lyrics, catchy melodies, and youthful energy. Formed in 2015, the band first gained attention by uploading cover songs on YouTube, showcasing their raw talent and chemistry. It wasn&rsquo;t long before they transitioned into crafting their own original sound, debuting with the heartfelt single &ldquo;Selalu&rdquo; in 2017 &mdash; a song that resonated deeply with listeners and was featured on the Astro Ria drama My Coffee Prince.

Their growing influence has earned them numerous accolades, including recognition as one of the Top 5 most-streamed Malaysian artists on Spotify in 2024. With multiple radio hits under their belt, including fan-favorites like &ldquo;Igauan Malam&rdquo;, &ldquo;Reminisensi&rdquo;, and &ldquo;Kepulanganmu&rdquo;, the band&rsquo;s momentum shows no signs of slowing down. Today, the band comprises three members: frontman and lead guitarist Iqie (Syed Mir Iqbal), bassist and vocalist Wan Arif Iskandar, and rhythm guitarist and vocalist Danial Lee Hashim. Previously a quartet, drummer Gavin Wong departed the group in 2022.

SAH Entertainment&rsquo;s Managing Director, Sufi Rashid, called the event a &ldquo;historic moment&rdquo; for the band, noting that the pricing strategy was aimed at including as many fans as possible.

More than a decade since audiences were first dazzled by sleight of hand and cinematic spectacle in Now You See Me, the franchise is poised for a thrilling return. The third instalment, Now You See Me: Now You Don&rsquo;t, promises the most audacious heist yet &mdash; blending the original gang of illusionists with a new wave of rising stars in a high-stakes battle against a dangerous criminal organisation.
The Original Horsemen Saddle Up Again

The film marks the long-awaited reunion of the core cast that captivated fans in the first instalment. Jesse Eisenberg returns as the cerebral and enigmatic J. Daniel Atlas, once again orchestrating plans that blur the line between magic and manipulation. Rejoining him are Woody Harrelson as the hypnotist Merritt McKinney, Dave Franco as sleight-of-hand specialist Jack Wilder, and Isla Fisher as escape artist Henley Reeves &mdash; whose return is particularly notable, as she was absent from the second film.

Her role signals a thematic evolution for the franchise &mdash; pitting illusionists not just against law enforcement or rogue magicians, but against a deeply entrenched criminal power structure. With the addition of Pike and the blending of old and new talent, Now You See Me: Now You Don&rsquo;t is setting the stage for the series&rsquo; most complex battle yet.

To launch the film&rsquo;s marketing campaign, Lionsgate pulled off a real-world publicity stunt straight from the Horsemen&rsquo;s playbook. In the heart of New York City&rsquo;s Times Square, a digital billboard teased fans with the phrase &ldquo;Now You See Me,&rdquo; accompanied by a countdown and a phone number. As the timer hit zero, the display changed to reveal &ldquo;Now You Don&rsquo;t&rdquo; &mdash; and fans who had texted in received instant digital cash giveaways totalling $250,000, as well as exclusive access to the official trailer.
Newcomers Greenblatt, Smith, and Sessa appeared in person to help carry out what Lionsgate dubbed a visual &ldquo;heist,&rdquo; adding to the fanfare and bringing the energy of the franchise&rsquo;s big-screen illusions to real life. It was a fittingly dramatic entrance for a film built on misdirection and flair.
Behind the Curtain: Direction, Production, and the Future
