Energy is pretty much something everyone needs in order to run literally everything that we use in our daily lives. But as the world&rsquo;s population grows and space becomes a concern, we are starting to develop another problem as we are now facing an energy crisis due to the limited natural resources.

Right now, many governments are concerned and are stepping up efforts to work together and produce a renewable resource to help lessen the load on the use of natural supplies.

China to generate 'near-limitless' energy

We all know that China is one of the few nations out there with some of the innovative and smartest scientists out there. In a report by SCMP, China says that they are having hopes in generating near-limitless energy through nuclear fusion power within the next six years said their leading nuclear weapons scientist.
The best part of all this is that this near-limitless energy is entirely clean.

Professor Peng Xianjue from the Chinese Academy of Engineering Physics had mentioned that the Chinese government had approved of a construction of the World&rsquo;s largest pulsed-pwer plant in Chengdu which is located in the Sichuan province.
&ldquo;Fusion ignition is the jewel in the crown of science and technology in today&rsquo;s world. Being the world&rsquo;s first to achieve energy-scale fusion release will lay the most important milestone in the road to fusion energy for human beings,&rdquo; he said.
In fact, Peng who is 81, has developed some of China&rsquo;s most advanced small nuclear warheads and he also serves as the top advisor to the country&rsquo;s nuclear programme.
What IS nuclear fusion?

Nuclear fusion is actually described as the &ldquo;holy grail&rdquo; of energy sources. The one thing about nuclear fusion is that it&rsquo;s an energy source which can promise one ultimate power. When hydrogen nuclei is fused with helium, it can cause a natural reaction that mimics the action of the Sun where massive amounts of energy is released while the atoms get smashed together.
For China to achieve ultimate energy, a highly sophisticated machine is required and that&rsquo;s where The Z-pinch Machine comes into play.

The machine will replicate the fusion reactions of a thermonuclear bomb through magnetic pressure which will create an extremely strong electric pulse. According to SCMP, scientist believe that the machine can produce 50 million amperes of electricity which is twice as much as the record-holding Z pulsed power facility which is located at the Sandia National Laboratory in the US.
Although how amazing this sounds, there is a downside to this and as of now, the process to gain ultimate energy is illusive due to the vast temperature that is produced while in the core of the reactor.
Though, scientist have managed to sustain nuclear fusion before as a group of scientists in South Korea have managed to sustain a nuclear fusion reaction running at temperatures of over 100 million &deg;C for 30 seconds. For perspective, the heat produced form this is such as &ldquo;an artificial sun&rdquo;.

Currently, the record for the best achieving run time with an &ldquo;artificial sun&rdquo; is by Chinese scientist as it ran for 17 minutes at a cooler 70 million &deg;C.
When will it be completed?
For the completion of the Z-pinch machine, it&rsquo;s believed that it will be completed by 2025 and the facility which houses it will be set to be completed by 2028.
In terms of powering grids around China, Prof Peng says that the facility will be able to produce commercial nuclear fusion energy by 2035. Now that&rsquo;s not that long from now when you really think of it. Imagine completely clean energy.

Remembering the usage of Nuclear Energy
Although nuclear energy is currently providing at least 10% of the world&rsquo;s electricity which comes from 440 different reactors around the world. Plus, nuclear energy is considered the 2nd largest source of low-carbon power.
Despite of how good nuclear can be, there are however issues with it and this is mainly revolved around what could happen during a natural disaster.

Rewinding back to 2011, the Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami was the worst natural disaster to hit Japan and it had caused the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant had a meltdown after the seawalls collapsed and chemical explosions were triggered in the building. This had left radioactive materials to leak into the atmosphere and the ocean while water was surging through town.&nbsp;

To date, one of the worst nuclear disasters is still Chernobyl where it left the land around it practically uninhabitable. The disaster that happened in 1986 where Reactor number 4 had a melt down and an explosion that left 31 dead.

Till this day, the radiation that had leaked out of the factory has left its mark all around Europe as even 36 years after the disaster, scientist from the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research (NINA) states that radioactivity in wild plants in Norway can still be discovered but at a stable level.
Is Nuclear Fusion dangerous?
Despite what many would like to think, nuclear fusion is in fact safer than nuclear energy in the long run and scientist say that it will not produce any serious danger or damage in the long run.
The reason behind why it&rsquo;s safer is due to fusion only creates energy and when there is an issue, energy is slowly lost and it will come to a total halt just like our cars running out of petrol.

China Apparently Very Close To Achieving Near-Limitless Energy!

&nbsp;Heavy rainfall in the early hours of Wednesday morning led to a landslide that caused part of a wall at an international school in Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI) to collapse. The incident occurred shortly before the start of the school day, prompting a swift emergency response and raising broader concerns about hillside safety in the Klang Valley.
The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department received a distress call via the MERS999 emergency line at 7.18am. Within minutes, 15 firefighters from the TTDI and Sri Hartamas stations were dispatched to the scene, along with two fire engines &ndash; a Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) and an Emergency Medical Rescue Service (EMRS) vehicle.
Rapid Response Averts Potential Disaster

Upon arrival, the team carried out a &ldquo;size-up&rdquo; assessment to evaluate the risk of further collapse and ensure the safety of everyone in the vicinity.
&ldquo;Upon assessment, it was confirmed that the collapse had impacted various parts of the school infrastructure,&rdquo; Azkhan stated. &ldquo;Classrooms, the staff room, student toilets, and even the library sustained visible damage. In addition, two vehicles parked within the premises were also affected by falling debris.&rdquo;
Firefighters managed to stabilise the situation and secure the area by 7.55am. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported among students, teachers, or nearby residents. The timing of the landslide, occurring just before the full arrival of students, likely prevented what could have been a far more serious incident.
School Operations Disrupted
Following the incident, the school temporarily suspended in-person classes to allow for safety checks and structural assessments. Parents were notified shortly after the incident, and arrangements were made for some students to be picked up early. Affected areas within the school were cordoned off, and emergency protocols were activated.
School officials expressed relief that no one was injured and thanked the fire and rescue personnel for their swift action. "We are working closely with authorities to ensure the safety and structural integrity of our buildings before resuming normal operations," a school spokesperson said.
City Hall Steps In for Follow-Up Action

Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim paid tribute to the pontiff in a heartfelt Facebook post, recalling his own visit to the Vatican early in Francis&rsquo; tenure. &ldquo;Pope Francis was a steadfast advocate for peace and his efforts to build bridges across faiths and cultures earned the respect of many, including in the Muslim world,&rdquo; Anwar said.

The Vatican reported that Pope Francis had fallen into a coma before succumbing to a stroke and irreversible cardiovascular arrest. His condition had deteriorated sharply despite brief signs of recovery, including a public appearance on Easter Sunday and meetings with dignitaries such as US Vice President JD Vance and King Charles III earlier this month.
His death was formally certified in a ceremony at the Casa Santa Marta, his residence, on Monday evening.
