Their concert will be happening a few days before BLACKPINK’s concert in Malaysia

It looks like the entertainment industry in Malaysia is swinging in full force now. Over the last few months, we’ve had many concert announcements such as Billie Eilish’s ‘Happier Than Ever Tour’ in August, the upcoming Justin Bieber ‘Justice World Tour’ that’s set in October and tomorrow itself we have the two biggest K-Pop Stars, Jackson Wang and CL performing for the GoodVibes Weekend 2022 at Sunway Lagoon tomorrow (23rd and 24th).

If you’re planning for your 2023 concert list, there’s BLACKPINK coming down to KL and we’ll give you one more to add on as OneRepublic will be performing in March 2023!

The American pop-rock band OneRepublic has confirmed that they’ll be coming down to Malaysia after they announced their Asian leg of their live concerts which covers concerts in Bangkok, Jakarta, Manila, Taipei, Tokyo and Singapore.

The band formed in 2002 and played shows throughout Los Angeles and were initially approached by several record labels and eventually signed with Columbia Records. They initially wanted to release their album in June 2006 but were dropped by Columbia two months before the release. This made lead singer, Ryan Tedder, to release their single “Apologize” on 30 April 2006 on MySpace which eventually reached the #1 song on their charts. Later on, when their debut album ‘Dreaming Out Loud’ was released in 2007, their song ‘Apologize’ was remixed by Timberland and became a global hit.

As their success kept rising, the band released more successful songs such as ‘Secrets’, ‘Counting Stars’ and the most recently ‘I Ain’t Worried’ which is the main theme song for one of the best movies of 2022, Top Gun: Maverick, starring Tom Cruise.
