Accident On Plus Highway Causes Massive Traffic Jam From Nilai To Bandar Ainsdale SB

Drivers are advised to head to Exit 213 to Putra Mahkota to avoid the incident.

Driving long distances can be pretty tiring and it’s always recommended to get enough rest when travelling.

No matter if you’re a careful driver or not, an accident is bound to happen as all it takes is one small slip to cause it.

Accident Blocks All Lanes On Highway

 

A fatal crash had occurred on KM280,1 of the PLUS Highway heading southbound which had resulted in all the lanes becoming blocked and traffic is now at a standstill according to the Malaysian Highway Authority.

The Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Negeri Sembilan had informed that an emergency call had happened at 11:43am which involved an accident between five vehicles which were two trailer trucks, two cars and a motorcycle.

 

There were a total of 10 victims in the incident where the driver of the trailer had swerved from the opposite lane into oncoming traffic. The driver, aged 43, was pronounced dead on the scene whereas four victims are reported to be injured and had been sent to the hospital for further treatment.

Cleaning Works In Progress

 

In an update, cleaning works are still bring carried out on the highway with the right-hand-side lane of the highway being open to light vehicles as of 2:32pm.

Vehicles travelling along the PLUS Highway have been diverted to exit at the Nilai Toll Plaza and traffic contra-flow has been activated at KM279.05 to KM281.3 in the northbound direction of the highway.

Meanwhile, the traffic northbound of this stretch of the PLUS highway is congested for a length of five kilometers and highway users are advised to Exit 213 to Putra Mahkota.

As if now, the cause of the incident is still being investigated.
