A couple of weeks ago we talked about Adobe’s take on AI as they introduced their very own version of an AI art generator called Adobe Firefly. The thing about Adobe Firefly is that it has the ability to bring text-to-image generation and can even place It into many of the Adobe apps available in their suit.
It’s also trained to differentiate licensed or copyrighted content from Adobe Stock images, Openly-licensed content and public domain content even though the copyright has already expired.

It’s no lie that Adobe Firefly is truly impressive and the folks behind the technology had just taken it to the next level as they introduced a new feature.
Adobe Firefly Introduces AI Video Editing
We all know the pain of video editing and thanks to the new tech, the company is seeking to help ease up the workload of video editors and make it easier for them. The company says that the new addition in Firefly will now “make it easier and faster for you to transform your vision into reality”.
The new changes to Adobe Firefly will help aid video editors to change colour schemes, time of day lighting and even seasons of already-recorded videos. Sounds similar to Unreal Engine as how they can control the seasons of the background while filming, right?
So, what are the new features?
Text To Colour Enhancements
By altering colour schemes, time of day, or seasons in pre-recorded videos, you can quickly change the ambience and setting to create a desired tone and atmosphere. With a prompt as simple as "Make this scene warm and inviting," the time between conceptualization and the finished product can be significantly reduced.
Advance Music & Sound Effects
No more scrubbing for music as it’s now simple for creators to produce personalized sounds and music that are free from royalties. Plus, you can now convey specific emotions or situations, either for provisional or finished tracks.
Stunning Fonts, Text Effects, Graphics & Logos
For those wanting to start off with creating small logos or even title cards with animation, it will be fully available for customization as you input a few words in a matter of minutes.
Powerful Script & B-roll Capabilities
Through AI analysis of script-to-text, creators can significantly speed up their pre-production, production, and post-production workflows. They can automatically produce storyboards and pre-visualizations and also receive suggestions for b-roll clips to be used in rough or final cuts.
Creative Assistants & Co-pilots
Users can learn new skills and speed up their creative processes from the start of their vision until the final stages of creation and editing, with the help of personalized generative AI-powered "how-tos."
When Will The Features Be Implemented?
According to Adobe, the new features will be included in Adobe Firefly “later this year”. Unfortunately, we won’t know for sure when exactly it will come, however, those interested can sign up for its closed beta test.
Another thing to look forward to from Adobe later in May is an update to premier pro as they will be introducing text-based video editing!
Honestly speaking, this is by far one of the best tools Adobe has introduced. Will it make video editors somewhat lazier or too dependent on technology? Maybe. But it will definitely help make work faster and we still have the ability to enhance what we would like quickly and accordingly.
Personally, I can’t wait for this kind of assistance and now all we need is for it to be implemented across other apps in the Adobe suite and we are all set for the future of creativity.
