Ever since the Avengers series of movies ended in Marvel with the retirement of characters such as Captain America starring Chris Evans and the passing of Chadwick Boseman who plays Black Panther, things have been pretty “slow and dull” for the new MCU phase of movies.
As of now, we’ve only seen the latest Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and many are looking forward to the final movie for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 which marks the end of director James Gunn’s movies in the MCU.
But hey, we still have something to look forward to and that’s Deadpool 3!
Deadpool 3 is currently the most highly anticipated movie by Marvel as we’ll be seeing the return of one of Marvel’s most iconic characters, Wolverine who’s being played by Hugh Jackman.

Deadpool Brings A Fan Favourite Back To The Movie
It looks like we are in for a treat as Deadline reported that the outlet had confirmed that Rob Delaney has closed a deal to return to Deadpool 3 and it definitely got Ryan Reynolds excited about it.

For those who don’t know, Delaney was a member of X-Forces, a group of mutants that Deadpool put together to help save the world and he was the only member of X-Forces who did not have any mutant powers. Though he lacks superpowers, Delaney’s act has provided pure comedic relief to the audiences and instantly became one of the signature highlights of the movie.
How Is Delaney’s Character Alive?
Now, rewinding back to Deadpool 2, we all knew that Delaney’s screentime was short-lived after his arm comes off his body as Zeitgeist had spat acid onto his arm leaving him on the ground. But little that we know that he could have still been alive at the time.
Here’s where things make sense, if you were to watch the end credits of Deadpool 2, you can see Deadpool travelling back in time where he ended up at the climactic showdown during X-Men Origins: Wolverine between Logan and Deadpool who had his mouth sewn shut. Later we saw Deadpool killing himself for accepting the script of a highly criticized movie by DC Comics, Green Lantern which ended up as one of the worst movies Reynolds has starred in.

With that being said, it seems that Deadpool has certainly helped reset the timeline for his own movie. Though it’s said that the movie takes place in the present day and happened before the events of Logan where we saw the death of the iconic character, Hugh Jackman explained that the events of the time travelling had not affected the events and the character's eventual demise.
Deadpool 3 is set to release on 8 Nov 2024 in the US and unlike the previous two films, it will be the first film made under the MCU banner while still retaining its R-rating which is not commonly seen in most Marvel movies.
Though we still have a year plus till the movie comes out, we are sure that fans can’t wait to slowly see the content and build-ups of teasers that would come out between now and the movie’s release. Now the other question is if we’ll see Wolverine in his iconic yellow suit?

Guess we’ll have to wait and find out! What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments.
