Coldplay Rumoured To Perform In Malaysia This November 2023!

Calling all Coldplay fans!

Calling all Coldplay fans!

For those who love going to concerts, we all know that sometimes international artists tend to skip Malaysia for their live shows despite attending neighbouring countries such as Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore.

One of the few reasons for the skip is due to limited venues that can hold a high volume of fans, the high cost of organizing a concert in a country that may potentially have a limited audience as demand for live shows isn’t as high as other countries. Last but not least is the cultural and religious sensitivities where their performance or beliefs could impact the outcome of their concert.

But hey, despite this issue, we usually get to see the performances we love, if we had the cash.

Coldplay To Perform In Malaysia In November

On the 5th of May, rumours were spreading that Coldplay was coming to town after a video had been uploaded online on 5 May by event manager and artist manager Iman Tang. The famous crosswalk near Pavilion Bukit Bintang featured an advertisement for Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour 2023 on its screen and it definitely caught the attention of many.

To add to the speculations, Live Nation who will be organizing the concert has also released a teaser video on their official page about the band’s appearance. As of now, all we can do is wait for the excitement to build up and to prepare our wallets as it’s certainly a concert that’s not to be missed.

When Will Tickets Go On Sale?

As there is no official statement coming from Coldplay themselves, we’ll still have to wait and see till a proper official announcement is made. But rumour has it that the highly-anticipated will go on sale sometime this week or next week.

Here are the reactions of fans online:

While everyone’s excited, we also have one fan who hopes that Live Nation will not mess things up from poor sound system like the Billie Eilish concert as well as the lack of seat issues during the BLACKPINK concert in Kuala Lumpur

First Performance In Malaysia

If the rumours are true, this would be the first time Coldplay has ever stopped by Malaysia and a return to their concerts in Southeast Asia as their last performance in the region was back in 2017 in Singapore and the Philippines after the release of their album ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’.

If you’re planning to attend the concert, you should certainly consider it as every Coldplay concert is pretty special and will certainly be a very memorable one.
