Let’s talk fashion. Many of us, love to dress comfortably and always tend to play it safe when it comes to the clothes we wear. There’s also been a running joke where all men’s clothing looks the same despite buying it from different brands and if you were to ask our neighbours in Singapore, apparently every basic man there wears has a closet full of Uniqlo cloths.
On the other end of things, we have those who love high fashion which typically consists of clothing from expensive brands and are typically the newest fashion that’s bought by a small number of people who are very wealthy.
Their designs can only go two ways, some of them can be very nice and could stand out to the crowd or they can be straight-up controversial or even land you in controversy such as the one worn by our last prime minister Ismail Sabri.

But what if we told you high fashion can also be hilarious?
Versace X Pelita Nasi Kandar
Recently, TikTok user Afif Sukhairi posted a video online of a shirt that caught his eye at the Italian luxury store Versace while walking around a shopping centre in Kuala Lumpur.
The video showed a short-sleeved shirt that featured Vesace’s signature blue base that’s paired with a blend of gold patterns. But instead of admiring the shirt, the hilarious bit is that the shirt reminded him of the uniforms worn by the Nasi Kandar Pelita mamak franchise staff.
“To anyone who wants to get a shirt from Nasi Kandar Pelita, you can get it at Versace okay,” joked Afif in his video.
If you were to really put the shirt side by side with the uniforms worn by the staff, they do in fact look pretty similar in terms of the colour shades.
Well I’ll be damned…
Checking out Versace’s website, the shirt is known as the Barocco 660 Silk Shirt.
It comes in two different colours, our meme-worthy blue and gold as well as a green and gold design. If you’re looking to join in the Pelita crew, the shirt will currently set you back RM3,150 and that’s already on discount as it originally retails for RM6,300 on their website.
Netizens Couldn’t Help Laughing Along
At the time of writing, the video has gained over 382.6K views on TikTok and 25.9K Likes. Netizens took to the comment section as they too couldn’t hold back their laughter after seeing the shirt.

Well, if anyone plans to purchase this shirt, you should probably avoid heading to Pelita because you’ll definitely be given a pen and paper to take some orders and serve food to customers.
