For Muslims worldwide, we all have specific practices written in our Al-Quran to follow as it’s part of our religion. One of them is eating food from halal and good sources also known as Tayyib.
In brief, halal and tayyib food refers to clean and uncontaminated food, avoiding any undesirable elements like carcasses, blood, pork, and the like. Hence, meats like pork are classified as a significant impurity, or "mughallazah," forbidden for Muslims not only to consume but even to handle.
The Quran also states that pork is intrinsically impure throughout its entirety, including its flesh, hair, and skin.
However, social media has been buzzing after a woman in a hijab posted a video of a “tutorial” on how to consume food that’s deemed haram in a halal way.
Claims That We Must Read Bismillah And Read The Al-Fatihah

The video showcases a woman, believed to be Indonesian, sporting a hijab. She explains that her "tutorial" is aimed at Muslims curious about consuming forbidden meat. In the video, she places pork on her noodles and acknowledges that it's against the Al-Quran.
Before eating the meat, she recited Bismillah followed by the surah al-Fatihah in order to “turn the meat halal”.
According to other sources, he also invited several Indonesian figures and scholars namely Ma'aruf Amin, Anwar Abbas, Napoleon Bonna Parte, Habib Rizieq, Ustaz Abdul Somad and Ustaz Adi Hidayat to do such things.
Netizen Expose The Person Behind The Video
Scrolling through the comments left by netizens, user @mohamadnasren claims that the person in question is in fact Cindo (Indonesian Chinese) and is named Lin Sin Halim and deliberately made the video to discredit Islam.
Dia cindo, bukan agama Islam. Saja niat jahat nak burukkan Islam ja pic.twitter.com/snS6YqkKJV

Lin Sin Halim, as reported by Kilat.com, is also recognized under the alias Dewi Bulan, and notably, she follows the Christian faith. Some might question the leniency of Indonesian laws in this regard, especially considering the severity of the situation. However, Lin Sin Halim has relocated to the United States, rendering her immune to potential prosecution for actions that involve the abuse or mockery of Islam as per Indonesian laws.
Had this incident occurred in Malaysia, the consequences would have been markedly different. Under Section 30 of the Syariah Criminal Offence Ordinance, such an act would have led to prosecution, potentially resulting in a fine of up to two thousand ringgit, imprisonment for a period of up to one year, or both.
Prior to this video, another Indonesian influencer, Lina Mukherjee, was also arrested by authorities after having made a TikTok video of her eating pork and reciting Bismillah.
Here’s the comments by netizens on the situation:
Mendonia ini selain suka bergaduh dengan Malaysia kalau tengok Malaysia cerita kehebatan mereka, adalah perangai suka mainkan agama.

As the saying goes, signs of the approaching end times seem to appear when we witness individuals engaging in sinful actions, propagating negativity, or promoting deceitful behaviours online. Yet, during such moments, it becomes paramount for us to strengthen our connection with a higher power, seeking protection from such influences.
