The exterior boasts a PVD coating with a textured brushed finish, and the redesigned chassis now boasts slimmer bezels, enhancing repairability without compromising screen size.

The new Pro and Pro Max models continue to feature their beloved 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR displays, complete with the returning Dynamic Island technology. What's more, the ProMotion technology ensures an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and full support for the Always-On display feature. In terms of resolution, it remains consistent with the previous models, with the 15 Pro offering 2556 x 1179p and the 15 Pro Max boasting 2796 x 1290p. Additionally, both devices sport a robust Ceramic Shield front and carry an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

The iPhone has also undergone significant internal upgrades, with the inclusion of the cutting-edge A17 Pro chip. This latest iteration of Apple Silicon is crafted using a cutting-edge 3nm manufacturing process, packing a staggering 19 billion transistors. The result? An impressive boost in both performance and energy efficiency.
Apple's claims regarding the A17 Pro chip are nothing short of impressive. The chip introduces two high-performance cores that tout a remarkable 10% increase in speed. These cores incorporate advanced branch prediction and expanded decode and execution engines, delivering what Cupertino proudly asserts to be the fastest single-threaded performance ever witnessed on a smartphone, potentially rivalling even high-end desktop PCs. Additionally, the chip houses four high-efficiency cores, reputedly offering three times the performance-per-watt compared to competitors, although, in keeping with Apple's usual approach, no charts or data were provided during its unveiling.

Next up Apple has now introduced a new button on the side of the 15 Pro and Pro Max dubbed the Action Button which now replaces the mute switch on the previous iPhones. Functionally, it serves the same purpose as the switch, with the added bonus of providing haptic feedback upon activation. Moreover, users have the flexibility to customize the Action Button's functionality, akin to the customization options available on Android devices.

Renowned for its stellar camera performance, especially in low-light conditions, Apple has once again raised the bar with the introduction of its most advanced camera system in the new iPhone lineup. The standout feature is the upgraded 48MP, f/1.78 main camera, boasting a larger sensor and a new nanoscale lens coating that reduces lens flare and enhances low-light photography. Additionally, users can capture ProRaw images in stunning 48MP HEIF format, with the option to switch to a default 24MP resolution for quick point-and-shoot situations.
Apple has also expanded the camera's versatility with three focal lengths&mdash;24mm, 28mm, and 35mm&mdash;allowing for a more diverse range of photographic styles. Portrait Mode has undergone enhancements to deliver superior performance in low-light environments. For videographers, the new iPhone Pro models offer the capability to record ProRes video directly to an external drive, thanks to their USB 3 capabilities.
The iPhone 15 Pro brings significant changes to its zoom lenses. It offers a 12MP, f/2.8 telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom (77mm focal length). In contrast, the larger iPhone 15 Pro Max features a 12MP, f/2.8 telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom (120mm focal length), thanks to a 'tetraprism' lens that reduces the lens size. Both models include a 12MP, f/2.2 ultrawide camera with improved low-light performance. The front camera remains unchanged at 12MP, f/1.9 TrueDepth. Additionally, you can capture Spatial Video using the main and ultrawide cameras simultaneously, accessible through Apple Vision Pro.
As for the rest of the phone, the features are mainly unchanged and the two phones will have a battery life of 23 hours to 29 hours with the support of 20W fast charging.
Standard iPhone 15 &amp; iPhone 15 Plus

Now, let's turn our attention to the slightly more accessible models, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus, which are expected to garner significant interest among buyers. In a departure from previous generations, Apple has placed a strong emphasis on camera enhancements this year, even for the non-Pro model.
The revamped iPhone 15 and 15 Plus have received a notable camera upgrade, featuring a 48MP primary camera&mdash;a substantial improvement over their predecessors. In low-light conditions, these phones previously produced 12MP images, but thanks to the new Photonic Engine, users can now capture stunning 24MP images instead.

Regrettably, this year, the iPhone 15 Pro lineup retains the A16 Bionic Chip from its predecessor, the 14 Pro series. While it may not be a brand-new chip, Apple has fine-tuned it for improved voice isolation. Additionally, they've carried over the Dynamic Island feature from last year's Pro model to enhance the phone's performance.
Apple has remained tight-lipped about the battery capacity but assures users of a full day's usage on a single charge. Beyond that, the phone boasts a vibrant array of five new colours: Blue, Pink, Yellow, Green, and Black, with storage options extending up to a capacious 512GB.

In typical Apple fashion, they also introduced a new USB-C to Lightning Adapter at RM159 which is designed to enable functions such as charging, data transfer and audio support. The function of the adapter is to help cater to the many Apple users who have been using the Lightning connector for the past 11 years.
When Is It Available And How Much Will It Cost?

Malaysia&rsquo;s Health Ministry has assured the public that the country&rsquo;s Covid-19 situation remains under control, even as neighbouring countries like Thailand, Singapore, and Taiwan record significant spikes in new infections.
Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad confirmed that Malaysia is averaging around 600 cases a week, a figure that remains well below the national alert threshold. Notably, no Covid-19-related deaths have been reported in Malaysia so far in 2025.

Rising Cases in Thailand, Singapore, and Taiwan
