It has been a month since the Elmina plane crash disaster which claimed the lives of 10 individuals. The plane which was only a few minutes away from its destination at Subang airport suddenly fell out of the sky and left the nation in shock.

As the crash wasn&rsquo;t any ordinary crash due to it impacting the ground at high speed and bursting into a huge ball of fire, it had taken authorities quite a while for the investigation as they needed to check the data recorder of the flight to figure out what exactly went wrong in the doomed flight.

During the investigation, the crash did not just affect the family who lost the lives of their loved ones but also the officers on duty at the site as they needed to collect the debris and piece together the fragments of body parts while matching their DNA to each crash victim.

Crash Report Has Finally Been Released
After a month of waiting, the preliminary report released by the Air Accident Investigation Bureau regarding the Beechcraft Model 390 Premier 1 crash last month has revealed that no evidence of incapacitation or physiological factors affecting the flight crew's performance has been found.

The flight crew involved in the accident consisted of two pilots: Shahrul Kamal Roslan, 41, and his second-in-command, Heikal Aras Abdul Azim, 44. Both pilots held valid medical certificates from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM). Specifically, they possessed First Class Medical Certificates from the FAA. While their medical certificates noted a limitation stating the use of corrective lenses to meet vision standards at all required distances, a comprehensive review and supporting documentation concluded that Shahrul and Heikal had no significant medical concerns.
The medical examiner who conducted physical examinations of both pilots also identified no significant conditions that could pose hazards to flight safety based on available history and physical examinations. Furthermore, the preliminary report mentioned that Shahrul had rested sufficiently on the night before the plane's departure from Langkawi.

However, the report did not release a transcript of the final 30 minutes of the cockpit voice recording (CVR), despite successfully retrieving data from the recorder on board. The initial analysis of the recovered CVR recording has provided crucial leads for investigating the accident's cause, particularly focusing on the aircraft's flight control systems. Collaborative and conclusive evidence to establish the cause of the accident will depend on the results from the pending inspection and examination of related aircraft parts and components at the National Transport Safety Board (NTSB) and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) laboratories.

The Transport Ministry emphasized that the preliminary report represents an early discovery and is considered reliable as of its release. However, it is subject to modification or correction if additional evidence becomes available.
The final report for the ongoing investigation is expected to be finalized by August 2024, allowing for a 12-month period to complete the document after the accident.

Baekhyun’s ‘Reverie’ World Tour Is Coming to KL and Singapore!

After ten years of making their mark on the Malaysian music scene &mdash; and in the playlists of countless fans across the region &mdash; pop-rock band Insomniacks are ready to take the stage for their first-ever solo concert. Titled Echoes of a Dream: Insomniacks Live in Concert, the event marks a significant milestone for the beloved group.

Insomniacks is a Malaysian pop-rock band that has rapidly emerged as one of the country's most beloved music acts, known for their emotionally charged lyrics, catchy melodies, and youthful energy. Formed in 2015, the band first gained attention by uploading cover songs on YouTube, showcasing their raw talent and chemistry. It wasn&rsquo;t long before they transitioned into crafting their own original sound, debuting with the heartfelt single &ldquo;Selalu&rdquo; in 2017 &mdash; a song that resonated deeply with listeners and was featured on the Astro Ria drama My Coffee Prince.

With multiple radio hits under their belt, including fan-favorites like &ldquo;Igauan Malam&rdquo;, &ldquo;Reminisensi&rdquo;, and &ldquo;Kepulanganmu&rdquo;, the band&rsquo;s momentum shows no signs of slowing down. Today, the band comprises three members: frontman and lead guitarist Iqie (Syed Mir Iqbal), bassist and vocalist Wan Arif Iskandar, and rhythm guitarist and vocalist Danial Lee Hashim. Previously a quartet, drummer Gavin Wong departed the group in 2022.

More than a decade since audiences were first dazzled by sleight of hand and cinematic spectacle in Now You See Me, the franchise is poised for a thrilling return. The third instalment, Now You See Me: Now You Don&rsquo;t, promises the most audacious heist yet &mdash; blending the original gang of illusionists with a new wave of rising stars in a high-stakes battle against a dangerous criminal organisation.
The Original Horsemen Saddle Up Again

The film marks the long-awaited reunion of the core cast that captivated fans in the first instalment. Jesse Eisenberg returns as the cerebral and enigmatic J. In the heart of New York City&rsquo;s Times Square, a digital billboard teased fans with the phrase &ldquo;Now You See Me,&rdquo; accompanied by a countdown and a phone number. As the timer hit zero, the display changed to reveal &ldquo;Now You Don&rsquo;t&rdquo; &mdash; and fans who had texted in received instant digital cash giveaways totalling $250,000, as well as exclusive access to the official trailer.
Newcomers Greenblatt, Smith, and Sessa appeared in person to help carry out what Lionsgate dubbed a visual &ldquo;heist,&rdquo; adding to the fanfare and bringing the energy of the franchise&rsquo;s big-screen illusions to real life. It was a fittingly dramatic entrance for a film built on misdirection and flair.
