A 25-year-old Thai woman, known online as Sugus, approached the group after they repeatedly spoke loudly inside the carriage. Instead of complying, several members of the group allegedly mocked her, showed her the middle finger and called her offensive names. One of the students reportedly told her, "Sorry that we brought money to your country," while another mocked her further during the confrontation.

The controversy intensified after footage appeared to show the students' supervising teacher defending their behaviour instead of de-escalating the situation.
According to reports, the teacher dismissed the woman's concerns by saying the teenagers "were just children" before allegedly telling her to "shut the f*** up". The comments fuelled even greater public anger, with many criticising the adults responsible for supervising the group.
As the confrontation continued, other passengers reportedly intervened, with one threatening to contact the police.

A 26-year-old Malaysian man has died after being fatally stabbed while attempting to break up a fight in Eumseong County, North Chungcheong Province, South Korea, in an incident that has left his family and friends devastated.
The victim, Ahmad Shah Ahmad Ros, had reportedly gone to help a friend who called him for assistance, only to become caught in a violent altercation involving around 10 people. South Korean authorities have since arrested another Malaysian man in connection with the fatal stabbing, while investigations into the incident remain ongoing.
Victim Answered A Friend's Call For Help

According to Ahmad Shah's family, he had been asleep at home with his wife when he received a late-night phone call from a fellow Malaysian asking for help after becoming involved in a fight.
Without hesitation, Ahmad Shah left the house with his wife to try and calm the situation. However, upon arriving at the scene, they discovered that the altercation involved a large group of men rather than a single individual.
His sister, Ain Sephia, said the family was told that Ahmad Shah had been trying to separate those involved when he was stabbed.
His mother, Zulfah Fadliani, echoed the same account, saying her son had always been known for helping others and had never expected the situation to turn deadly.
"My son was only trying to help his friend," she said, adding that he suffered severe injuries after being stabbed in the abdomen and lost a significant amount of blood before being rushed to hospital.
Despite medical efforts, Ahmad Shah was pronounced dead a few hours later.
Police Arrest Malaysian Suspect

Authorities alleged that a Malaysian man in his 40s pulled out a knife during the fight and stabbed Ahmad Shah. Another individual was also injured and taken to hospital for treatment.
Following the incident, the suspect reportedly fled to a nearby residence before being arrested around an hour later.
The man has been detained on suspicion of murder and other offences as police continue questioning those involved to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the fight.
Family Left Heartbroken

"I could see him fighting for his life while receiving treatment, but Allah loved him more," she said.

He was the eldest among his siblings and had been living in South Korea with his wife for the past seven years while working at a manufacturing factory.
The family said he had been looking forward to returning to Malaysia this December before travelling with them to perform umrah in January next year.
Repatriation Process Underway

Earlier reports indicated that the cost of bringing Ahmad Shah's body back to Malaysia could amount to between RM50,000 and RM60,000, while his hospital bill of around RM18,000 had already been settled by his wife with assistance from friends.

Super Junior's Yesung To Celebrate 10th Solo Anniversary With Kuala Lumpur Concert This November

Formula One is officially making its long-awaited return to Malaysia, with the Sepang International Circuit set to host the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia from 2 to 4 October 2026.
The announcement marks the sport's first race in Malaysia since the Malaysian Grand Prix was removed from the calendar after the 2017 season due to rising hosting and licensing costs. While the country has remained a regular fixture on the MotoGP calendar, F1 fans have spent almost a decade hoping to see the world's premier motorsport series return to Sepang.
This time, however, Formula One's return comes under very different circumstances. Rather than reviving the Malaysian Grand Prix, Sepang will temporarily host the Bahrain Grand Prix, which has been relocated due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
One Of Formula One's Most Iconic Circuits

For many Formula One fans, Sepang remains one of the sport's most memorable and technically demanding circuits.
Introduced to the calendar in 1999, the 5.5km circuit quickly earned a reputation for producing thrilling wheel-to-wheel racing, dramatic overtakes and unpredictable weather conditions. Its combination of long straights, sweeping corners and tropical downpours has created countless unforgettable moments throughout Formula One history.
Sepang also holds a special place in the hearts of Malaysian fans because of its long-standing association with PETRONAS and the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team. Since becoming title sponsor of the Mercedes team in 2010, PETRONAS has been synonymous with Formula One success, helping the team secure multiple Drivers' and Constructors' Championships.
Although Malaysia last hosted an F1 race in 2017, the circuit has maintained its FIA Grade 1 licence, allowing it to remain eligible to stage Formula One events at short notice.
Formula One President and CEO Stefano Domenicali described Sepang as a circuit that holds "a special place in Formula One history", adding that its return would provide an unforgettable experience for both fans at the venue and viewers around the world.
Why Is Bahrain's Race Being Held In Malaysia?

Despite taking place at Sepang, the event will officially remain the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia.
The Bahrain Grand Prix was originally scheduled earlier in the 2026 season but was postponed after escalating regional conflict, including military strikes involving Iran, created security concerns across parts of the Middle East. The situation also led to the cancellation of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, forcing Formula One to revise its calendar.
Rather than cancelling the Bahrain race entirely, Formula One, the FIA, the Governments of Bahrain and Malaysia reached an agreement to relocate the event to Sepang while retaining Bahrain's title sponsorship and race identity.
The race will be held between the Azerbaijan Grand Prix and Singapore Grand Prix, helping Formula One preserve much of its original 2026 calendar while prioritising the safety of teams, officials and fans.
FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem said every possible option had been explored before the decision was made, with safety remaining the organisation's highest priority throughout the process.
The agreement was also made possible through close cooperation between the Malaysian and Bahraini governments, with Malaysia's readiness to host a major international sporting event on short notice receiving praise from Formula One officials.
Malaysia Only Needs RM16 Million For Circuit Upgrades

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim revealed that Malaysia will not be paying the substantial Formula One hosting or registration fees previously required when the country staged the Malaysian Grand Prix.
Instead, the government's only expenditure will be approximately RM16 million, which will be used to maintain and upgrade the Sepang International Circuit to meet Formula One standards.
According to Anwar, Malaysia previously spent hundreds of millions of ringgit to host Formula One, while estimates to revive the Malaysian Grand Prix in recent years were said to be around RM300 million annually.
"This time, we are organising without paying registration fees. It is free," Anwar said.
He added that Malaysia was selected because of three key strengths: political stability, efficient administration and world-class infrastructure capable of hosting a global sporting event at short notice.
Ticket Sales Won't Be Managed By PETRONAS

Following the announcement, PETRONAS issued a clarification after many fans assumed the company would oversee ticket sales because of the circuit's name and its long-running partnership with the Mercedes Formula One team.
The national oil and gas company explained that while it holds the naming rights to the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit, it is not the organiser of the Bahrain Grand Prix.
PETRONAS stressed that it does not manage, control or have access to ticket allocations, sales or distribution. Instead, all tickets will be handled solely by the event organiser through authorised sales channels.
Further ticketing information is expected to be announced closer to the event.
Anwar Promises More Affordable Ticket Options

One of the biggest concerns among Malaysian fans has been ticket prices, with many hoping Formula One's return will be more accessible than previous editions.
Responding to public requests for cheaper tickets, Anwar suggested that more affordable options would be made available.
When asked whether "Madani-priced" Formula One tickets could be introduced, the Prime Minister replied that it would be possible, although fans purchasing the lowest-priced tickets should not expect premium grandstand seats.
"God willing... but you won't be seated in the front-row seats. You'll have to sit a little further," he joked.
While official ticket prices have yet to be announced, the assurance has given many fans hope that attending Formula One at Sepang will be more affordable than in previous years.
With Formula One returning to one of its most iconic circuits after a nine-year absence, Malaysian motorsport fans will once again get the opportunity to witness the world's fastest racing series at Sepang&mdash;albeit under the banner of the Bahrain Grand Prix.
