Are you a big fan of Star Wars?
Yeah, we know, the newer generation of movies between Episodes 7 and 9 that told the story of Rey and the rogue stormtrooper Finn had not been the best versions of the movie and were considered pretty bad by Star Wars standards since the film did not utilise the &ldquo;traditional way&rdquo; of lightsaber fight scenes as how it should be.

But despite whatever anyone wants to say, the one thing we all know is how well Disney has managed to pull off the series from the franchise and more in particular the series Andor, The Mandalorian and the recent Ahsoka.
Since the success of the series, they are all due to getting an extension which means we&rsquo;ll be seeing way more action and the stories behind the characters that will fill up a couple of missing gaps from the original Skywalker saga.
The Mandalorian Is Coming To The Big Screens

For those who have been keeping up with the adventures of Grogu (Baby Yoda) and the Mandalorian, you&rsquo;ll know that the success of the series has brought us three seasons of exciting action as we get to learn more about the bounty hunter and Baby Yoda. There had been talks about a season 4 for Mandalorian after having seen the last episode of The Mandalorian finally settling down at a home away from all the action which got fans wondering if there would ever be more.

Jon Favreau is set to direct a new "Star Wars" film titled "The Mandalorian &amp; Grogu," slated for production later this year. Best known for creating the Disney+ series "The Mandalorian," Favreau's film will bring the helmet-wearing bounty hunter (played by Pedro Pascal) and the beloved alien Grogu, to the big screen. The film's place in the timeline of the ongoing live-action series, which has completed three seasons with the fourth in development, remains uncertain.
Expressing excitement about the project, Favreau stated, "I have loved telling stories set in the rich world that George Lucas created. The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting."
"The Mandalorian &amp; Grogu" marks the first significant development in the "Star Wars" film series since 2019's "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker." Despite earlier announcements by director Patty Jenkins and "Marvel" producer Kevin Feige, subsequent instalments never materialized. Meanwhile, the "Mando" -verse expanded with two more live-action TV shows, "The Book of Boba Fett" and "Ahsoka," and the upcoming "Skeleton Crew."
Ahsoka Season 2 Officially In Development

On Tuesday morning, Disney officially confirmed the news while announcing that Jon Favreau is set to direct a new Star Wars film titled "The Mandalorian &amp; Grogu." Interestingly, this confirmation is somewhat tucked away within the announcement about Favreau. Towards the end of the statement, Disney included, "The Mandalorian &amp; Grogu will lead Lucasfilm's ongoing feature-development slate, including films helmed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, James Mangold, and Dave Filoni, who is concurrently working on the development of Ahsoka Season 2."
While speculation has circulated about a second season of Ahsoka, particularly following Dave Filoni's recent promotion within Lucasfilm, this marks Disney's initial official confirmation of another instalment.
The teaser for Ahsoka Season 2 was previously hinted at in a Vanity Fair profile, revealing Filoni's aforementioned promotion to chief creative officer at Lucasfilm. At that time, the profile mentioned that he had been "exploring" a second season, with Rosario Dawson, the star, adding that Disney had not made any "official" announcements about it. In November, Dawson remarked, "For a while now, and especially now with the strike and everything, no one can say anything. But he did say [Filoni] was working on an outline. So, we&rsquo;ll see."
Expanding Their Future
Apart from the announcements about The Mandalorian and Ahsoka Season 2, Disney surprised many by revealing Jon Favreau's upcoming Star Wars movie. The production is set to commence in 2024 and will be co-produced by Dave Filoni and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy.
It's important to clarify that Favreau's film does not replace Filoni's previously disclosed movie, which was unveiled alongside projects by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and James Mangold at the previous year's Star Wars Celebration. With today's revelation of Ahsoka Season 2, the substantial creative influence that Filoni wields over the future of Star Wars becomes even more apparent.

In addition to these developments, the Star Wars universe remains bustling with activity on the television front. In 2024, viewers can anticipate the premieres of new Star Wars shows, including The Acolyte and Skeleton Crew, along with The Bad Batch Season 3 and Tales of the Jedi Season 2. However, the eagerly awaited second season of Andor is notably absent from this year's schedule, likely due to delays associated with the ongoing writers' and actors' strikes.

Looks like we are in for quite an adventure. Just in case if you haven&rsquo;t managed to watch the series you should probably do so and watch it in the sequence it released if not you&rsquo;ll pretty much be lost in the transition between seasons. 
Many have given credit to the latest Star Wars TV series by Disney as they truly blew away everyone&rsquo;s expectations, especially Andor which was dubbed as a masterclass thanks to their storytelling, cinematography and the fact that the whole series did not rely on telling the nostalgia of previous Star Wars films.

Who Is Vitaly Zdorovetskiy?

In his early content, Vitaly was known for shock-based humour, but in recent years, his antics have escalated into confrontational &ldquo;in real life&rdquo; (IRL) stunts. In April 2025, during a series of live streams in the Philippines, he was accused of harassing locals, attempting to kiss a security guard without consent, and even allegedly stealing.
The resulting public outcry was swift, with Filipino authorities responding by detaining him. The Bureau of Immigration confirmed that the arrest was prompted by multiple reports of public disorder and violations of immigration laws. &ldquo;This is not simply an administrative concern&mdash;it is a matter of upholding the integrity of our immigration system,&rdquo; Viado stated. &ldquo;We cannot allow deportation proceedings to be delayed or derailed by public figures using their platform for sympathy or manipulation.&rdquo;
He added that foreign nationals, regardless of celebrity status, must respect local laws or face legal consequences.
The denial of bail and transfer to BJMP Muntinlupa suggest Philippine authorities are taking a tough stance, especially after rising public concern over foreign social media influencers allegedly abusing their platform to disrespect host countries.
Prison Conditions, Health Decline, and Public Backlash
Following his arrest on 2 April 2025, Vitaly&rsquo;s conditions in custody have drawn attention. Reports surfaced alleging that the YouTuber was being held in a sweltering cell with no air conditioning. Initially, some reports speculated he could be detained for up to three years, but legal analysts now estimate a potential sentence closer to 18 months &mdash; if found guilty. Nevertheless, his legal battles are far from over. As of now, there is no confirmed trial date nor clarity on how long the proceedings may take.
President Ferdinand &ldquo;Bongbong&rdquo; Marcos Jr himself weighed in on the controversy. In a public statement, he condemned the YouTuber&rsquo;s actions, saying: &ldquo;One of the things we saw this Sunday was the infuriating behaviour of a foreign vlogger toward our fellow citizens. Whether he was joking or not, what Filipino wouldn&rsquo;t feel their blood boil watching that?&rdquo;
Deportation Only After Due Process
Once the local court cases are resolved, Zdorovetskiy is expected to be deported from the Philippines as an &ldquo;undesirable alien.&rdquo; However, complications remain. Both the United States and Russia have thus far declined to take custody of him, potentially prolonging his stay in the Philippines even after sentencing.
The BI reiterated that deportation cannot proceed until all legal matters are settled. Commissioner Viado made clear that hospitality must never be mistaken for tolerance of disrespect or illegal activity.
&ldquo;Foreign nationals are welcome in the Philippines&mdash;but they are expected to obey our laws and respect our communities. Those who choose otherwise must face the appropriate legal consequences,&rdquo; he said.
Until then, Zdorovetskiy remains behind bars in Muntinlupa with no bail, no release date, and a trial that could stretch on for months.

Baekhyun’s Solo Tour Lands In Kuala Lumpur: Tickets Now On Sale For ‘Reverie’ World Tour

The tragic discovery of a 39-year-old schoolteacher&rsquo;s decomposed body in her Johor home has sparked widespread concern and prompted authorities to issue a public appeal for assistance in tracing her only known living relative. The woman, who had been absent from work since September last year, is believed to have died alone nearly a month prior to the discovery of her remains.
Alarming Smell Leads to Grim Discovery

On the evening of Thursday, 12 June, residents of Bandar Selesa Jaya in Skudai were alarmed by a strong foul smell emanating from a house in their neighbourhood. After days of tolerating the stench, one concerned neighbour finally lodged a police report at the Nusa Bestari Police Station at approximately 8:06pm.
Responding officers forced entry into the premises, where they were met with a harrowing scene: the lifeless, heavily decomposed body of a woman&mdash;later identified as Lo Kwan Fong, also known as Luo Qunfeng (transliteration)&mdash;was found inside the house.
According to Assistant Commissioner M. Kumarasan, the Iskandar Puteri District Police Chief, the victim is believed to have died about a month earlier. Early observations ruled out any signs of a struggle or forced entry.
No Foul Play Suspected, But Autopsy Inconclusive

A post-mortem examination was carried out at Hospital Sultanah Aminah (HSA) in Johor Bahru by forensic specialists. However, due to the advanced state of decomposition, the medical team was unable to determine the precise cause of death. The body had reportedly deteriorated to such an extent that internal indicators were no longer viable for a conclusive assessment.
&ldquo;The autopsy could not ascertain the cause of death. However, there were no signs of criminal activity, and we have classified this as a case of sudden death,&rdquo; said ACP Kumarasan.
This classification rules out foul play for now, though police have not entirely closed the file, pending any new leads or forensic insights.
Months of Absence and Increasing Isolation

Lo, a teacher at a school in Taman Tunku Aminah, had not reported for work since 24 September 2024. At first, her prolonged absence was met with concern from colleagues, especially given that she had always been punctual and professional. However, those closest to her say she became increasingly withdrawn in the months prior to her disappearance.
In February 2025, her colleagues paid her a visit at home. It was the last confirmed contact anyone had with her. Subsequent efforts to reach her, including further home visits and attempts to call, went unanswered. Neighbours also noted that they had not seen her in a long time, but it wasn&rsquo;t until the strong odour began to spread that authorities were contacted.
She led a quiet, solitary life. According to her colleagues, she was reserved and rarely spoke about her personal affairs. She had reportedly lost both parents before 2010, and it was believed she had no siblings. She never married and had no children.
The only relative she had ever mentioned was her maternal aunt, who had moved to Singapore many years ago. The man, who was wearing a face mask, attempted to flee but was stopped at a nearby traffic light and later tackled to the ground when he tried to escape again.
Students Take Action Before Police Arrive

As onlookers gathered, the suspect was pinned down and held in a headlock by one of the students to prevent him from fleeing again. A security guard eventually intervened and took control of the scene before the police arrived. While waiting, the group demanded the suspect unlock his phone.
Initially, no incriminating content was visible, prompting concerns that the man may have deleted evidence. However, one of the students realised that some Android devices can switch between multiple user accounts or operating environments. Upon switching systems, they made a chilling discovery.

Fearing that the man could evade serious consequences or return to campus under false pretences, the students decided to publicly share their experience and the video of the confrontation. &ldquo;We don&rsquo;t want this person to tell people he was arrested for gambling and just carry on as if nothing happened,&rdquo; said one of the students involved.

The video quickly went viral, with many praising the students for their courage and initiative. However, the individuals behind the video were quick to clarify their motivations. &ldquo;We&rsquo;re not doing this for attention or praise. We just want to make sure he doesn&rsquo;t get away with it&mdash;and that women are warned,&rdquo; said the victim&rsquo;s friend in a statement.

According to PDRM, the incident is believed to have taken place in the Ampang Jaya district of Selangor. In response, a disciplinary and criminal investigation has been launched against the officer.

Integrity Issues Plague PDRM Amid Officer Misconduct Scandal

The recent viral misconduct case is just the tip of the iceberg for the PDRM, as broader concerns about internal discipline and professionalism continue to mount. Between January and May 2025, 492 officers were subjected to disciplinary action, with 59 dismissed and 146 suspended, according to Datuk Seri Azri Ahmad, Director of PDRM&rsquo;s Integrity and Standards Compliance Department (JIPS).
The most common offences were integrity-related violations (333 cases), followed by governance issues (45), drug offences (42), criminal acts (38), syariah breaches (19), and corruption (15). The figures were revealed during Azri&rsquo;s visit to the newly officiated Maran District Police Headquarters, which serves over 115,000 residents.
Public complaints about police misconduct also surged, with 2,637 reports filed in just five months&mdash;1,892 formal complaints and 745 public tips. In response, PDRM launched the Aduan JIPS PDRM app, offering a more transparent platform for the public to report wrongdoing.
End of a Career and a Call for Reform
Azri&rsquo;s remarks came as part of his final tour of duty, with his retirement scheduled for 26 June 2025, marking the end of a 37-year career in the police service. His departure comes at a pivotal moment, as PDRM faces mounting pressure to reform and rebuild trust with the public.
While the current case may involve a single officer, it has highlighted systemic concerns around supervision, discipline, and the need for continued vigilance against abuses of power.
