When facing trouble, the usual advice is to stay calm and contact the authorities for assistance, correct?
During the day, we can often rely on the help of those around us. However, at night, the safest option in an emergency is typically to head to a police station.
Recently, however, changes within the police force have raised questions about their latest directives.
Police Stations To Close Gates at 10PM

In a statement to Parliament, Home Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail announced that police station gates nationwide will close from 10 pm as part of enhanced security measures.
This decision follows the attack on the Ulu Tiram police station in Johor Bahru on May 17, which resulted in the deaths of two officers and injured another. The attacker was believed to be a member of Jemaah Islamiyah (JI), an Indonesian-based militant Islamist group founded in 1993.

Saifuddin highlighted that closing the gates at 10 pm aims to balance public access to report crimes with the safety of police officers.
"We have to balance the police station where people lodge complaints; at the same time, the police station is also a target. So we have to balance the two needs," he stated, citing the Ulu Tiram incident as an example.
Police To Re-examine & Tighten SOPs At All Stations

Saifuddin stated that while the gates of police stations will close at 10 pm, the police have been instructed to re-examine and tighten their standard operating procedures for all district headquarters and major stations, including patrol frequencies.
"In terms of the logistics situation at each police station, whether it's lights, fences, and so on, we issued instructions to immediately provide information and it will go through a process for us to improve."
Following the announcement, some netizens questioned the impact on public safety if the gates close at 10 pm. Here are some of the comments:

IGP Clarifies That Police Station Services Are Still Available Around The Clock

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain confirmed that the public can continue to lodge complaints and reports as usual. The instruction for 10pm closures will be implemented after the standard operating procedure (SOP) is presented to Bukit Aman Management Department director Datuk Seri Azmi Kassim.
"As stressed by Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, we should balance the role of the police station as a place where the public lodges reports and, at the same time, the stations are also targets of threats, so we balance both needs," he said.
The closing of the stations does not mean they are not operational. “It will still function normally with service delivery to the public as a priority,” he said.
Currently, the 10pm closure applies to police stations in remote or rural areas. During a Dewan Rakyat session, Saifuddin Nasution mentioned that the Home Ministry had ordered the gates of police stations to close after 10pm for security following the attack on the Ulu Tiram police station in Johor. He emphasized that this measure balances the public's need to access police stations with the safety of on-duty personnel.
Perhaps Saifuddin needs to clarify his statements further, but one crucial issue that remains unanswered is where the public can park their cars if the station gates are closed. Many stations have designated parking areas for visitors, and those parking outside must ensure they do not obstruct traffic in the area.

Malaysian kopitiam chain Oriental Kopi has responded to public criticism over its menus, which reportedly feature food descriptions in English and Chinese but do not include Bahasa Malaysia. The controversy has sparked a wider discussion on the use of the national language by local businesses and how Malaysian brands represent the country's multicultural identity.
The issue gained traction on Threads after a user shared a photograph of the restaurant's menu and questioned why Bahasa Malaysia was absent despite Oriental Kopi presenting itself as a proudly Malaysian brand. The post drew widespread attention, with some Malaysians calling for the menu to be updated, while others questioned whether the criticism was being applied consistently to other food and beverage businesses.
Oriental Kopi founder Datuk Calvin Chan Jian Chern has since acknowledged the feedback, apologised for the oversight and confirmed that the company is working on a new menu design that will include Bahasa Malaysia.

Responding to the criticism on Threads, Calvin thanked the public for highlighting the issue and reiterated the company's respect for Bahasa Malaysia as the country's national language.
He also acknowledged that the omission was a shortcoming on the company's part and asked for patience while the team works on improvements.

“As a brand born in Malaysia, we always respect Bahasa Melayu as our national language. We apologise for this shortcoming. We're already in the process of introducing a new menu design that will include Bahasa Malaysia,” he said.
In a separate response, Calvin emphasised that Oriental Kopi welcomes customers from all races and backgrounds. He added that the company remains committed to representing Malaysia through its traditional heritage dishes and thanked the public for giving the brand an opportunity to improve.
The response received positive reactions from some social media users, who welcomed the founder's willingness to acknowledge the feedback and address the concern.
Why Are Malaysians Criticising Oriental Kopi's Menu?

The controversy centres on the absence of Bahasa Malaysia from the descriptions of Oriental Kopi's food items, with screenshots circulating online showing descriptions presented in English and Chinese.
Some Malaysians argued that including the national language should be a basic consideration for a local restaurant, particularly one that celebrates its Malaysian identity. Others expressed disappointment that customers who prefer reading menus in Bahasa Malaysia might not have the same experience as those who are comfortable with English or Chinese.
Some users also called for a boycott until the restaurant introduces the language into its menus, while others urged the company to make the necessary changes rather than allowing the controversy to escalate.
The discussion also gained momentum after Oriental Kopi had shared posts expressing pride in being a Malaysian brand. For some customers, the absence of Bahasa Malaysia appeared inconsistent with that identity.
One customer, who described themselves as a regular at the restaurant, said they enjoyed its food and drinks but believed the menu could better reflect Malaysia's multicultural society.
The comments highlight how language choices can influence public perceptions of a brand, particularly when it comes to businesses that position themselves as part of Malaysia's local food heritage.
Some Malaysians Question Why Oriental Kopi Is Being Singled Out

Despite the criticism, not everyone agreed with the way the issue was raised. Some social media users questioned why Oriental Kopi was receiving particular attention when other food and beverage chains also feature menus primarily in English or use a different combination of languages.
Brands mentioned in the discussion included ZUS Coffee, Tealive, Luck Bros Kopi and Tea Garden, with some users arguing that similar expectations should apply consistently across the industry.
Others maintained that businesses should be encouraged to include Bahasa Malaysia regardless of their ownership, target audience or preferred menu language.
The debate has therefore expanded beyond Oriental Kopi itself, raising broader questions about how Malaysian businesses can balance their branding, customer preferences and the country's linguistic diversity.
While some see the inclusion of Bahasa Malaysia as an important way to recognise the national language, others believe criticism should be directed at business practices rather than focused on a single brand.
What Is Oriental Kopi Doing to Improve Its Menu?

For now, Oriental Kopi has confirmed that a redesigned menu featuring Bahasa Malaysia is in progress, although the company has not announced a specific date for its introduction.
Founded in 2020, Oriental Kopi is known for its Nanyang-style coffee, egg tarts, polo buns and other traditional kopitiam favourites. The brand has expanded across Malaysia, with additional outlets in Singapore, and has built a following among customers from different backgrounds.
Its response suggests that the company intends to address the menu issue while maintaining its identity as a Malaysian food and beverage brand.
The next step will be the introduction of the updated menu and whether the changes meet customers' expectations.
Ultimately, the controversy serves as a reminder that language can play an important role in how local brands connect with their customers. As discussions surrounding Bahasa Malaysia continue, Oriental Kopi's planned menu update could also encourage other businesses to review how their menus reflect the communities they serve.

Oriental Kopi Apologises Over Menu Without Bahasa Malaysia, Promises New Design

PC gamers may not have to wait as long as expected to play Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6), with a new report suggesting that Rockstar Games is targeting a PC release in the first quarter of 2027.
According to GamesBeat, four industry sources familiar with Rockstar’s plans indicated that the PC version could arrive between January and March 2027. If accurate, this would put the release just a few months after the game launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on 19 November 2026.
However, Rockstar has yet to officially announce a PC version or confirm the reported release window. Its parent company, Take-Two Interactive, has also not commented on the report.
For a franchise that has remained popular across multiple console generations, the news could be significant for players who have spent years waiting to experience each new instalment. It could also signal a change in Rockstar’s traditionally lengthy console-to-PC release schedule.
GTA 6 Could Arrive On PC Much Sooner Than GTA 5

The Grand Theft Auto series has stood the test of time, moving across different generations of consoles while maintaining a huge global fanbase. From older PlayStation and Xbox systems to modern consoles and PC, the franchise has continued to attract players through its open-world gameplay, storytelling and online experiences.
However, one recurring frustration for PC gamers has been the long wait for Rockstar’s major releases to arrive on their preferred platform.
When GTA 5 launched on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013, PC players had to wait until April 2015 to play it officially. That was a delay of approximately 19 months.
Red Dead Redemption 2 followed a similar pattern, arriving on consoles in October 2018 before reaching PC in November 2019, roughly a year later.
If the reported schedule for GTA 6 proves accurate, PC players could receive the game within just two to four months of its console debut. That would be a substantial improvement over Rockstar’s previous release timelines, although the studio has not confirmed that it is making this change.
Why Could Rockstar Release GTA 6 On PC Earlier?

One possible factor is the continued popularity of GTA 5 on PC, particularly its online multiplayer and role-playing communities.
In 2023, Rockstar acquired Cfx.re, the team behind FiveM and RedM, popular frameworks that support custom role-playing experiences in GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2. These communities have helped keep Rockstar’s games active long after their original releases.
A quicker PC release for GTA 6 could allow modders, streamers, content creators and role-playing communities to join the next generation of the franchise sooner.
Rockstar has historically prioritised consoles, with Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick previously explaining that the company wants to serve its core audience first. However, he has also acknowledged the growing importance of PC gaming to the business.
Nevertheless, developing a PC version presents additional technical challenges. Rockstar would need to optimise the game across a wide range of hardware configurations while maintaining performance and visual quality.
Could GTA 6 Online Launch Alongside The PC Version?

Another major question is whether the reported PC release could coincide with the launch of GTA 6’s multiplayer mode.
Fans have informally referred to the anticipated successor as GTA Online 2, although Rockstar has not officially confirmed its name or detailed its plans. Twitch CEO Dan Clancy has reportedly indicated that the next multiplayer experience is expected to arrive in 2027.
Read: Twitch CEO Teases GTA VI Multiplayer Could Arrive In 2027
If both reports prove accurate, launching the PC version in early 2027 could help Rockstar bring PC players into the new online experience sooner, rather than making them wait significantly longer than console users.
The original GTA Online became a major part of GTA 5’s longevity, attracting players through multiplayer activities, regular content updates and custom role-playing servers.
Naturally, expectations for the next online experience will be high. Players will want to see whether Rockstar can deliver a smoother launch, reliable servers and a more polished multiplayer environment from the beginning.
Will GTA 6 Online Have The Same Problems As GTA 5?

Despite the excitement, some players may be concerned about whether GTA 6 Online will repeat the problems experienced during the early days of GTA Online.
The original multiplayer mode faced launch difficulties, including server problems, connection issues and bugs that affected the overall experience. While Rockstar continued to expand and improve the game over the years, its early problems remain part of the franchise’s history.
With GTA 6 expected to attract enormous numbers of players, a new online launch could place considerable pressure on Rockstar’s servers and infrastructure.
Players will be hoping that the developer has learnt from more than a decade of operating GTA Online, particularly when it comes to server stability, matchmaking, progression systems and handling large numbers of players at once.
However, until Rockstar reveals more details, it is too early to determine how the new multiplayer experience will perform or whether it will encounter similar launch issues.
GTA 6 PC Release Date Remains Unconfirmed
Rockstar has already delayed GTA 6 twice, moving it from its initially planned 2025 release to May 2026, before rescheduling it again for 19 November 2026.
For now, the confirmed launch date applies to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions. The reported first-quarter 2027 PC window remains unconfirmed, and further delays cannot be ruled out.
If Rockstar does deliver the PC version within a few months of the console launch, it would mark a welcome change for players who have grown accustomed to lengthy waits.
For a franchise that has continued to thrive across generations of gaming hardware, the next big question is whether Rockstar can deliver GTA 6 on PC sooner while ensuring that both its single-player campaign and online experience live up to expectations.

Let’s just hope the experience won’t be like GTA V’s online shenanigans.

GTA 6 PC Release Reportedly Planned For Early 2027, Alongside GTA Online 2

Malaysians may hear a loud siren or receive an emergency notification on their phones on 19 November as the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) conducts a live test of the country’s upcoming Cell Broadcast System (CBS).
The system aims to deliver faster, targeted disaster alerts to phones in affected areas without requiring recipients’ phone numbers, SMS services or an internet connection. The test aims to improve public warnings about floods and other emergencies.
According to reports by the New Straits Times, CBS is in its final development phase. The exercise is expected to cover selected high-risk areas, and simulated disaster warnings or evacuation instructions should not be mistaken for a real emergency.
What Is Malaysia’s Cell Broadcast System?

Developed by MCMC under a new Early Warning System (EWS), CBS is intended to complement and eventually replace Malaysia’s existing SMS-based disaster warning system.
Currently, disaster alerts are distributed through a system involving the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) and telecommunications companies. Conventional SMS messages are sent to individual numbers, so delivery may be delayed when networks are congested.
CBS instead broadcasts alerts through mobile network infrastructure to compatible phones within a designated geographical area. Authorities can target people in affected locations without sending individual messages to every recipient.
Users do not need to register their phone numbers, activate mobile data or install an application. The system is similar to the United States’ Wireless Emergency Alerts.
How Does CBS Work Without Internet Access?

CBS sends emergency messages through mobile networks, so it can operate without an internet connection or conventional SMS service. It is designed to distribute warnings efficiently, including during periods of heavy voice and data traffic.
For example, if a flood threatens a neighbourhood, authorities could broadcast a warning to compatible phones in that location, instructing residents to seek shelter or evacuate.
However, CBS still requires at least one functioning mobile network in the affected area. If floods, landslides or power failures disrupt all available mobile services, alerts may not reach devices until connectivity is restored.
The Communications Ministry said a network recovery plan would coordinate restoration with disaster agencies and service providers.
Where Will The 19 November Test Take Place?

The live test is expected to focus on selected high-risk locations, including flood-prone areas in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Kelantan and Pahang.
Compatible phones in designated areas may receive simulated disaster warnings, potentially including instructions to seek shelter or evacuate. The exercise will help authorities assess delivery before wider implementation.
The system could be useful in Malaysia, where floodwaters can rise rapidly. Timely warnings could help families protect their belongings, assist vulnerable residents and give emergency responders more time to coordinate evacuations.
Accessibility Features For Malaysians With Disabilities

CBS is being developed with accessibility in mind. According to the Communications Ministry, it is designed to support text notifications, vibrations and audio through accessibility functions on compatible devices. These include screen readers and voice output features that can help people with visual impairments or reading difficulties understand warnings.
Clear messaging will also be essential. General advisories, severe weather warnings and mandatory evacuation instructions should be distinguishable so recipients understand the urgency. Authorities will consider accessibility and device compatibility during testing.
Messages in Bahasa Melayu and English could improve public understanding.
Public Awareness And Network Coverage Remain Challenges

CBS cannot guarantee that everyone will receive a warning. Mobile coverage remains a concern, particularly in rural areas. Protecting network facilities against floods, landslides and power disruptions will be important to the system’s reliability.
Public awareness and trust are equally crucial. Malaysians need to understand what alerts mean, how to respond and where to find reliable information. Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has stressed that the system will only be effective if the public trusts accurate information.
The impact of disasters highlights the need for preparedness. Department of Statistics Malaysia figures cited by Zahid show that disasters caused RM636.9 million in losses in 2025, including RM380.2 million involving public assets and infrastructure.
What Should Malaysians Do On 19 November?
People in designated testing areas should be prepared to receive an unusual notification or hear an alert sound on compatible phones. If a message is clearly identified as part of the test, there is no need to panic or evacuate solely because of the simulated warning.
During a genuine emergency, residents should take official alerts seriously and follow instructions from the relevant authorities. Verified updates and a household disaster plan remain important.
Ultimately, CBS must deliver warnings to the right people at the right time, with clear instructions they can act on. The 19 November test will be an important step towards strengthening Malaysia’s disaster preparedness and protecting lives.

One of HomeView's main features is Siri AI, Apple's upgraded digital assistant designed to provide more natural conversations, broader general knowledge and on-screen awareness.
When paired with a compatible Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad, Siri AI can draw on personal context from supported apps, including Messages and Calendar, to provide more relevant responses and perform tasks across applications.
For example, users can ask Siri to find a recipe shared in a message, locate a nearby market for missing ingredients and update a shopping list. It can also help manage schedules, retrieve appointment information and control compatible smart home accessories.
For communication, HomeView includes a 12MP Center Stage camera and a four-microphone array. Center Stage keeps users in frame during FaceTime calls, while Messages can be read and answered through voice commands or the on-screen keyboard.
The device also supports Intercom, allowing users to broadcast announcements to compatible HomeView and HomePod speakers, as well as connected Apple devices.
Entertainment And Smart Home Controls

Beyond personal assistance, HomeView supports Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Apple TV and compatible third-party audio and video services. Its speakers deliver Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos, while Handoff allows users to transfer music playback from an iPhone to the display. AirPlay also enables multiroom audio with compatible speakers.
In the kitchen, HomeView can turn online recipes into step-by-step instructions, provide hands-free timers and help users keep track of ingredients while cooking. Other supported apps include Safari, Calendar, Reminders, Weather and Find My.
As a smart home hub, the device allows users to control compatible lights, thermostats, smart locks and blinds using touch or Siri AI. Its Home Camera interface can display live feeds from up to nine compatible security cameras simultaneously.
With a supported iCloud+ subscription and compatible cameras, HomeView can recognise people, familiar faces, pets, packages and vehicles. HomeKit Secure Video also supports video descriptions, while the device can detect smoke and carbon monoxide alarm sounds and send alerts to an iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch.
HomeView supports Apple's Home platform and Matter-compatible accessories. It will also work with the Apple Home Collection, developed with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric, which includes cameras, a video doorbell, thermostats and smart door locks.
Apple Emphasises Privacy And Security

As HomeView is designed for shared household use, Apple says privacy is central to its design.
The device uses facial recognition to identify household members, but sensitive information from apps such as Messages and Calendar is only displayed when the recognised user's paired iPhone or iPad is nearby and has been recently unlocked. The phone must also be connected to the same home network for Siri AI to access personal context.
Apple says personal information is not stored directly on HomeView or used to build marketing profiles. The A18 chip includes Secure Exclaves, isolated environments designed to process camera and microphone data separately from the rest of the system.
Siri requests can be processed on-device or through Private Cloud Compute, which is designed to maintain privacy during cloud processing.
Tabletop Vs Wall-Mounted Apple HomeView

Apple is offering two versions of HomeView at the same price.
The standard tabletop model features an aluminium body with a domed speaker base connected to the display by a stainless steel hinge, allowing users to adjust its viewing angle. Weighing 952g, it comes in Silver, Starlight, Rose Pink and Space Grey.
Its audio system includes two full-range drivers, a down-firing woofer and two force-cancelling passive radiators. The box includes a 1.5m USB-C cable and a 30W power adapter.
Meanwhile, the wall-mounted model measures 9.8mm thick and weighs 286g. It is available in Silver and Space Grey, retaining the same display and core features in a slimmer design. However, it omits the tabletop model's woofer and passive radiators, while its mounting hardware, USB-C cable and power adapter are sold separately.
Neither model has a built-in battery, so both require a wired power connection.
Apple HomeView Price And Availability
In the United States, both HomeView models are priced at US$299 (approximately RM1,222). In Singapore, they cost S$399 (around RM1,275 each).
Pre-orders in Singapore are scheduled to open on 15 October 2026 at 9am, with availability beginning on 13 November 2026.
Apple has yet to announce Malaysian pricing or a local release date, leaving consumers here waiting for further updates.
The HomeView brings Apple's display technology, AI assistant and connected-device ecosystem into a single smart home hub. Its success will depend on how reliably its personalised features work and whether it can offer a compelling alternative to existing smart home platforms

Apple HomeView Unveiled With 7-Inch Display And Personalised Siri AI

Five Malaysians have been arrested at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport after Japanese authorities allegedly discovered approximately 5kg of cocaine worth an estimated RM3.1 million concealed beneath the insoles of their shoes.
The group, comprising four men and one woman aged between 19 and 26, had reportedly arrived in Japan on a flight from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). The alleged smuggling attempt was uncovered during customs inspections, with investigators now examining whether the suspects were recruited by a Malaysia-based criminal syndicate.
According to Japanese media reports, one suspect claimed he was offered RM8,000 to transport the drugs overseas after being approached through Telegram. The case has renewed concerns about international drug trafficking networks that allegedly recruit couriers through social media and messaging platforms.
How Japanese Customs Uncovered The Alleged Cocaine Smuggling

The incident came to light when customs officers at Haneda Airport became suspicious of a passenger wearing shoes with unusually thick soles.
An inspection reportedly uncovered cocaine concealed beneath the insoles of two suspects’ shoes. Further questioning raised suspicions that they had been travelling with other individuals, prompting authorities to locate and inspect three more Malaysians.
The subsequent searches allegedly uncovered cocaine concealed using the same method.
Japanese media, including NHK, Kyodo News and Fuji News Network, reported that the five suspects were allegedly carrying around 1kg of cocaine each, with approximately 500g hidden beneath the insole of each shoe.
The seized drugs were estimated to be worth 120 million yen, or approximately RM3.1 million to RM3.2 million, based on reported valuations.
The suspects were reportedly arrested on suspicion of violating Japan’s narcotics laws in connection with the alleged importation of drugs. Four have admitted to the allegations during questioning, while the 25-year-old woman has denied knowing that the shoes contained cocaine.
The investigation remains ongoing, and the allegations have yet to be determined by a court.
Telegram Job Offer And RM8,000 Payment

Investigators are looking into how the group obtained the drugs and whether an organised trafficking network arranged their journey.
One suspect reportedly told Japanese authorities that he had been approached through Telegram and offered approximately RM8,000 to transport drugs overseas. He was allegedly supplied with a specially prepared pair of shoes containing the concealed cocaine.
Other reports indicate that the shoes were handed to the suspects by another individual at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur before their departure.
Japanese police suspect the five Malaysians may have been recruited as drug couriers rather than acting independently. Investigators are examining whether financial difficulties and promises of quick money played a role in their alleged involvement.
The use of messaging applications can make it easier for recruiters and couriers to communicate without meeting frequently in person. However, the identity of the individual or individuals who allegedly organised this particular operation has not been publicly established.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the source of the cocaine, identify those responsible for arranging the shipment and establish whether the case is connected to a wider international trafficking network.
Malaysian Authorities Seek Further Information

Malaysia’s Home Ministry has also responded to the incident, with Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail saying that the ministry would contact Japanese authorities to obtain accurate information about the arrests.
He reportedly instructed Bukit Aman’s Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department director, Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, to establish the facts surrounding the case.
The move follows other recent drug-related investigations involving Malaysians overseas, including the arrest of a Malaysian co-pilot in Indonesia and the seizure of 521kg of suspected crystal methamphetamine linked to a private jet in Laos.
Separately, the Home Ministry and Transport Ministry have been implementing 17 recommendations to strengthen security at KLIA and other entry points. The measures include enhanced passenger screening at destinations identified as high-risk areas.
Saifuddin said the initial list of high-risk destinations did not include Japan, including Tokyo.
The latest case highlights the challenges faced by authorities in identifying suspected drug couriers before they leave the country, particularly when concealment methods are designed to evade routine inspections.
Other Recent Drug Smuggling Cases Involving Malaysians

The arrests in Tokyo follow several other incidents involving Malaysians suspected of carrying illegal substances across international borders.
In September 2026, five Malaysians were reportedly detained at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta over the alleged smuggling of approximately 5kg of etomidate concealed in their shoes.
In July, a Malaysian pilot was also arrested at the same airport for allegedly attempting to smuggle more than 70,000 ecstasy pills weighing approximately 25kg into Indonesia.
Earlier in October, authorities in Laos arrested 13 people, including a Malaysian co-pilot, over the alleged trafficking of 521kg of crystal methamphetamine through Malaysia and Laos, with the shipment believed to be destined for the Philippines.
Although the circumstances differ between cases, the incidents have drawn attention to the use of couriers to move illegal drugs across borders and the potential involvement of organised trafficking networks.
Why Is Cocaine So Valuable, And What Happens If Someone Takes It?

Cocaine is a powerful stimulant derived from the coca plant, primarily grown in South America. Its high street value, demand in illegal drug markets and relatively small volume make it attractive to international trafficking networks. Couriers may be recruited with promises of quick money, while drugs are concealed in luggage or footwear to evade detection. In the Tokyo case, the estimated RM3.1 million value for 5kg works out to around RM620 per gram, although actual prices vary depending on location, purity and market conditions.
Cocaine can cause temporary euphoria, increased energy and alertness, but it also raises heart rate and blood pressure. Its effects can include anxiety, paranoia and agitation, while more serious risks include seizures, heart attacks and strokes. Repeated use can lead to dependence, and uncertain purity increases the risk of overdose. Transporting illegal drugs across borders can also carry severe criminal penalties, making promises of easy money through anonymous online contacts particularly risky.
