2NE1 Adds More Dates For Their Tour!

Exciting news for Blackjacks everywhere! Given the massive demand for 2NE1&rsquo;s concerts, fans in Malaysia can now celebrate, as the group has officially added Kuala Lumpur to their 2025 tour dates for their much-anticipated reunion. The announcement, made by YG Entertainment, confirmed that the group will expand their Asia itinerary to include additional cities.
Kuala Lumpur is set to welcome 2NE1 on February 1, 2025, before they head off to Ho Chi Minh City and conclude the tour in Macau on February 22, 2025. While ticketing details haven&rsquo;t been revealed yet, updates are expected in the coming days, so keep an eye out for further announcements.
It&rsquo;s safe to say that Malaysian Blackjacks&rsquo; wishes have been granted, as this will be 2NE1&rsquo;s first concert in the country since their 2014 &lsquo;All Or Nothing&rsquo; World Tour. Fans who have long awaited their return are in for an unforgettable experience.
Catching Up With 2NE1&rsquo;s Music
As of now, 2NE1 has not released any new music, marking nearly eight years since their last collaboration with YG Entertainment following their disbandment. In a statement, YG Entertainment acknowledged that while no specific plans have been confirmed, there is a strong possibility of a new project in the works. The company also revealed that 2NE1 made a particular request, though they have yet to disclose what that request entails.

This incident serves as a reminder for content creators to handle their interactions with small business owners carefully, ensuring that their actions uplift rather than demean. One thing we can all agree is that no matter how some ideas may bring joy to one person, it&rsquo;s not often that netizens will agree with their ideas and with social media alone, it&rsquo;s also brought up the whole cancel movement which also involves the influencer getting mocked online.
Previously, influencer Andika Putera faced ridicule from M&rsquo;sians after expressing his fascination with the &lsquo;Old Money&rsquo; lifestyle and even creating his own &ldquo;Old Money Club.&rdquo; While his attempt gained significant attention online, it came at the expense of widespread backlash. Many criticized the effort, suggesting it clashed with his "aura," and urged others to have a reality check, pointing out the mismatch between their aspirations and financial realities.

Lately, there has been an unsettling wave of news surrounding the treatment of training cadets. Malaysians were previously shaken by the tragic death of Navy Cadet Zulfarhan Osman Zulkarnain. Since then, additional cases have emerged, including one cadet suffering severe burns from a hot iron and another enduring a fractured spine and ribs due to bullying by a senior.

This time, concerns are mounting over the mismanagement and oversight in cadet training programs, bringing more troubling issues to light.
Tragic Death of UiTM Cadet Sparks Outcry Over Training Practices

The sudden death of Muhammad Amir Rusyaidi Muhammad Zaidi, a 25-year-old UiTM Reserve Officer Training Unit (ROTU) cadet, has brought intense scrutiny over alleged abuse and negligence during his training. Amir passed away on November 13, 2024, after falling into a coma following an unscheduled training session on November 10.
His father, Muhammad Zaidi Abdul Rahman, recounted harrowing details of the incident, claiming his son was subjected to severe physical abuse. The training included having his chest stepped on, being ridden like a horse while performing horse-like movements, and forced to jump like a kangaroo. Shockingly, these acts were reportedly recorded by the trainer.
Zaidi also revealed that after Amir collapsed, he was left under the scorching sun for at least 30 minutes. Instead of calling an ambulance, the trainer transported him to Shah Alam Hospital, bypassing the nearer UiTM Medical Centre. Zaidi was only informed of his son&rsquo;s condition when the hospital sought consent to provide breathing aid. Tragically, Amir succumbed to his condition three days later.
Allegations of Negligence and Calls for Justice

Zaidi accused the trainer of failing to inform the university about Amir&rsquo;s condition, highlighting an alleged cover-up attempt. The family only discovered the full extent of Amir's ordeal after speaking with one of his friends following the burial.
Further exacerbating the situation, the trainer reportedly called Zaidi on November 11, asking Amir to attend class to avoid being marked absent. When confronted, the trainer admitted that the incident had not been reported to the university until after disciplinary pressure.
Initially, Shah Alam police have classified the case as a sudden death, while UiTM ROTU Deputy Commandant Ariff Md Ab Malik has called for a thorough investigation by the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM). This includes examining whether training protocols were followed and assessing candidate fitness standards.
Heat Stroke Identified as Cause of Death

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan stated that Amir's death resulted from multiple organ failure due to heat stroke. Initial investigations revealed no external injuries, and the incident remains classified as sudden death.
According to Hussein, Amir joined UiTM ROTU in late October and underwent a fitness test before starting basic training. On the day of the incident, he was allegedly punished with push-ups for lagging behind during a running exercise.
Amir was later admitted to the Shah Alam Hospital&rsquo;s ICU after showing symptoms of high fever, cramps, and dehydration. Despite efforts to stabilize him, his condition deteriorated, leading to his death on November 13.
Police have recorded statements from nine witnesses, including Amir&rsquo;s father, who filed a police report on November 15. The Armed Forces have pledged a thorough investigation into allegations of abuse, with calls for anyone with information to assist in the probe.
Amir&rsquo;s death highlights a recurring and troubling pattern of abuse within military and cadet training programs. From the fatal assault of navy cadet Zulfarhan Osman Zulkarnain in 2017 to other cases of extreme bullying and physical harm, these incidents reveal systemic issues that demand urgent reform. His family&rsquo;s pursuit of accountability serves as a call to action to address these longstanding problems and ensure the safety and dignity of future trainees.
