The newly worn jersey had the Jalur Gemilang positioned incorrectly, a detail that Lee had failed to notice amid the pressure of the match. Despite securing a victory with a score of 21-13, 21-15, the incident sparked concerns about the oversight of national symbols and the need for greater attention to detail in sports attire.
It&rsquo;s important to mention that during the post-match interview, Zii Jia changed into a shirt featuring the correctly positioned flag, indicating he may not have been fully aware of the upside-down flag during the match, as the intensity of the moment likely distracted him.
Ministry Responds with New Ethical Guidelines

In response to this incident, Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh announced plans to draft a comprehensive dress code of ethics for athletes concerning the use of the Jalur Gemilang on their competition attire. &ldquo;We currently don&rsquo;t have a clear code or set of regulations to address this issue,&rdquo; she said during the International Safe Sports Symposium. &ldquo;I will ask the National Sports Council (NSC) to look into what steps we can take to ensure these kinds of mistakes do not happen again.&rdquo;
Yeoh urged athletes and team managers, regardless of whether they are part of national teams or independent professionals, to always thoroughly check their attire before stepping onto the court. &ldquo;These jerseys represent our country, and when they are worn on the international stage, they reflect Malaysia&rsquo;s image to both local and global audiences,&rdquo; she emphasized. &ldquo;We cannot allow such mistakes to undermine our national pride.&rdquo;
Strengthening Safe Sport Initiatives
In addition to addressing attire, the KBS plans to strengthen its Safe Sport Code next year. Minister Yeoh stressed the importance of having more legal officers who can offer guidance and advice to sports committees, ensuring proper procedures are followed to prevent any similar occurrences. &ldquo;We want to create a framework where athletes and officials can have the necessary support to adhere to the highest standards of conduct and respect for national symbols,&rdquo; she said.

Let&rsquo;s hope such incidents are not repeated in the future. Prior to this event, the Malaysian eSports Federation (MESF) had strongly condemned two earlier incidents involving disrespect toward the Malaysian flag by members of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) eSports community.&nbsp; 
In the first case, American MLBB player Michael "MobaZane" Cosgun posted a video on Instagram featuring the word &ldquo;noob&rdquo; pointing to a graphic of the Jalur Gemilang. MESF described this act as a serious insult to Malaysia&rsquo;s national symbol, emphasizing its condemnation in a Facebook post on November 17. The term &ldquo;noob,&rdquo; commonly used derogatorily in gaming, further highlighted the disrespect shown toward the flag.&nbsp; 
In the second incident, the MLBB Professional League Indonesia (MPLID) shared a distorted version of the Jalur Gemilang on its official Instagram page, featuring only 11 red and blue stripes. The graphic was intended to celebrate Malaysia&rsquo;s 2-1 victory over Indonesia in the World eSports Championships semi-finals. MESF condemned this incorrect representation, stating that it undermines professionalism and the integrity of international events.&nbsp; 
These repeated instances underscore the need for greater awareness and responsibility when it comes to respecting national symbols in all areas of competitive sports.

As Israel and Hamas work through the final details of the agreement, fighting in Gaza has continued unabated. Smotrich is demanding conditions for his support, including a return to military action if Hamas retains control of Gaza after the ceasefire&rsquo;s first phase. These internal disagreements reflect the deeply entrenched ideological divisions within Israel&rsquo;s political landscape.

Who Is ENERGY?

Energy is a Taiwanese boy band that made its debut on July 12, 2002. The group consist of five members: leader Milk (Yeh Nai Wen), lead vocalist Edy (Hsiao Ching Hung), rapper and main dancer Toro (Kuo Wei Yun), vocalist and dancer KunDa (Hsieh Kun Da), and lead singer Shuwei (Chang Shu Wei). Energy quickly gained attention for their unique Rapcore sound, a blend of rap and rock elements that was relatively uncommon in the Mandopop scene at the time.
