The iconic band, known for chart-toppers like Just the Girl and Jenny, will take the stage in Kuala Lumpur on 4 May 2025 at The Exchange Hall in OUG, bringing nostalgia and electrifying energy to fans after more than a decade.

Who Is The Click Five?

The Click Five was a power pop and rock band from Boston, Massachusetts, formed in 2003 at the Berklee College of Music. Known for their catchy melodies, polished harmonies, and stylish image, the band quickly gained a dedicated fan base. The original lineup consisted of Eric Dill (lead vocals), Joe Guese (lead guitar), Ben Romans (keyboards), Ethan Mentzer (bass), and Joey Zehr (drums). They gained widespread attention with their debut album, Greetings from Imrie House (2005), featuring the breakout single “Just the Girl,” which peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Their second album, Modern Minds and Pastimes (2007), marked a shift in their lineup as Kyle Patrick replaced Eric Dill as lead vocalist. This album produced hits such as “Jenny” and “Empty.” The band’s energetic sound and relatable lyrics resonated particularly with young listeners, helping them build an international following.

The Click Five achieved notable success in Asia, where their popularity soared with hits like “Happy Birthday” and “Don’t Let Me Go.” The band won several awards, including the Favorite International Artist Award at the MTV Asia Awards in 2006, cementing their reputation as a global sensation. They also enjoyed critical acclaim for their live performances, which showcased their musicianship and charisma.

A Trip Down Memory Lane

This Malaysian stop is part of their reunion tour, which also includes shows in Jakarta, the Philippines, and Singapore. Fans will recall the band’s last visit to Malaysia back in 2008 when they rocked Sunway Lagoon’s Surf Beach at the peak of their fame.

For those who’ve followed their journey, you’ll remember Eric Dill as the original lead singer when the band burst onto the scene in 2005 with their debut album, Greetings from Imrie House. However, Eric departed in 2006 to pursue a solo career, paving the way for Kyle Patrick to take over as frontman. Kyle’s charisma and talent ushered in a new era for the band, leading to the success of their second album, Modern Minds and Pastimes.
