A nostalgic comeback after two decades!

Get ready to relive the magic of the late 90s and early 2000s as iconic Norwegian pop duo M2M makes a highly anticipated return to the stage! After more than two decades, Marion Raven and Marit Larsen are reuniting for their first-ever headlining tour, and Malaysia is one of their chosen stops.

On 27th April 2025, fans will have the opportunity to witness M2M perform live at Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting, for a night filled with nostalgia, heartfelt lyrics, and infectious melodies. The tour, titled 'The Better Endings', promises to be an unforgettable journey through the music that shaped a generation.

M2M: The Pop Icons of a Generation

If you grew up in the early 2000s, chances are M2M’s music was the soundtrack to your teenage years. M2M is a Norwegian pop duo consisting of childhood friends Marit Larsen and Marion Raven, both hailing from Lørenskog, Norway. The pair met at the age of five and began their musical collaboration early, releasing a children's album titled Synger Kjente Barnesanger in 1996 under the name "Marit & Marion." This album garnered a nomination for the Spellemannprisen Award, often referred to as the Norwegian Grammy.

In 1998, after signing with Atlantic Records, they rebranded as M2M and transitioned to English-language pop music. Their debut single, "Don't Say You Love Me," released in 1999, achieved international success, reaching No. 21 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. The track was also featured on the soundtrack of Pokémon: The First Movie, further amplifying its reach.

Their first album, Shades of Purple (2000), received critical acclaim and sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide. The album included other notable tracks such as "Mirror Mirror" and "Everything You Do." Despite the success of their debut, their sophomore album, The Big Room (2002), did not achieve the same commercial success, leading to the duo's disbandment later that year.

Throughout their career, M2M received several award nominations, including multiple Spellemannprisen nods for Best Pop Album and Song of the Year. They were also nominated for Best International Artist at the 2001 Mnet Asian Music Awards and Favourite Pop Act at the 2002 MTV Asia Awards.

After a 22-year hiatus, M2M reunited in September 2024, delighting fans with their return to the music scene.

Why 'The Better Endings' Tour?

M2M’s sudden disbandment in 2002 left many fans heartbroken and yearning for closure. Now, with 'The Better Endings' Tour, the duo aims to reconnect with their audience and celebrate the legacy of their music.

“This tour is our way of revisiting the songs that shaped us while also giving fans the closure and celebration they’ve been asking for,” shared Marit Larsen in a recent statement. “We want this to be a heartfelt experience where we look back fondly and move forward together.”
