The American luxury fashion house has unveiled a bold redesign of Coach Airways, its one-of-a-kind concept store housed within a repurposed Boeing 747 at Freeport A&rsquo;Famosa Outlet, Melaka. First launched in 2023, the world&rsquo;s first retail store inside an aircraft has now received a striking revamp &mdash; and it&rsquo;s every bit as playful, immersive, and stylish as fans of the brand have come to expect.

As you step aboard, the aircraft&rsquo;s cockpit has been transformed into a sleek, spaceship-like gateway, inviting guests to &ldquo;take off&rdquo; into Coach&rsquo;s world of fashion and imagination.
Inside, expect deep, vibrant hues of orange and red, retro-inspired carpeting, and walls adorned with a monogrammed pattern of miniature Coach Airways logos. These elements blend nostalgia with modern design codes to create a visual spectacle that feels more like an art installation than a retail store.
Adding to the fun is Rexy the T-Rex, Coach&rsquo;s mischievous mascot, who can be found throughout the aircraft &mdash; perched on display counters, peeking out of cockpit screens, or wearing a space helmet as part of the "Rexy's Space Odyssey" display. His presence adds a playful edge that underscores Coach&rsquo;s enduring commitment to self-expression and creativity.

Visitors can shop signature Coach pieces, including leather goods, accessories, and ready-to-wear, alongside exclusive Coach Airways merchandise such as limited-edition tote bags and statement T-shirts available only at this Melaka location.

Inside, the revamped cabin blurs the line between fashion and fantasy. The launch of Coach Airways in 2023 was more than just a branding feat; it was a tourism milestone for Melaka. The concept earned recognition in the Malaysia Book of Records as the first retail concept store in an aeroplane and was also awarded MATFA&rsquo;s &lsquo;Unique Retail Experience&rsquo; of 2023.
During the original launch, Malacca Chief Minister Ab Rauf Bin Yusoh remarked that the store plays a role in elevating the state&rsquo;s tourism and luxury retail profile.
&ldquo;This launch aligns with the objectives of Visit Melaka 2024&hellip; Beyond shopping, this establishment represents a symbol of luxury and prestige for all Malaysians, especially Malaccans.&rdquo;
