Malaysian comedy fans, the wait is finally over. Trevor Noah is coming to Malaysia for the first time, with the South African comedian set to perform a one-night stand-up show at Idea LIVE Arena in Kuala Lumpur on 9 November 2026.
The Kuala Lumpur stop is part of Noah&rsquo;s Asia Tour 2026, presented by LOL Asia and BOHM, with the show scheduled to begin at 8pm. The long-awaited Malaysian debut comes after years of efforts to bring the globally recognised comedian to the country.
LOL Asia chief executive officer Rizal Kamal said the booking had been around 14 years in the making, describing Noah as a performer who can connect with audiences across different cultures while maintaining the humanity behind his comedy.
Who Is Trevor Noah?

Trevor Noah is a South African comedian, writer, producer, author and television host who rose from Johannesburg&rsquo;s comedy scene to become one of the biggest names in global entertainment.
His major international breakthrough came in 2015, when he took over as host of The Daily Show after Jon Stewart. Noah spent seven years behind the desk before stepping down in 2022, bringing his South African perspective to discussions about American politics, world events, race, culture and everyday life.

His ability to find humour in cultural differences became one of his trademarks, helping The Daily Show appeal to an increasingly international audience.
Noah has also enjoyed success away from television. His memoir, Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood, became a No. 1 New York Times bestseller and has sold more than three million copies across formats. His second book, Into the Uncut Grass, also became a bestseller.
He is a two-time Emmy Award winner and currently hosts the What Now? With Trevor Noah podcast, while also working through his production company, Day Zero Productions, and the Trevor Noah Foundation.
From The Daily Show To Global Stand-Up Success

Although television made Noah a household name, stand-up comedy remains at the centre of his career.
His previous Off The Record world tour sold out major venues across five continents, including London's O2 Arena, New York's Beacon Theatre and the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
In 2026, Noah also returned to Netflix with his latest comedy special, Trevor Noah: Joy in the Trenches, while continuing his record-breaking run as host and executive producer of the Grammy Awards for a sixth consecutive year.
His Kuala Lumpur appearance will give Malaysian audiences the chance to experience the comedian's signature storytelling and observational humour live rather than through his television specials.

Noah&rsquo;s Malaysian performance is part of his wider Asia Tour 2026, bringing his stand-up comedy to audiences across the region.
The tour forms part of his continued international touring schedule, following his successful Off The Record run and other global performances.
For Malaysian fans, the Kuala Lumpur stop is particularly significant as it marks Noah&rsquo;s first-ever performance in the country.
