Seems like some people just want to watch the world burn huh?
Lately, everyone has became a fan of Korean dramas and films as they have been some of the most watched series worldwide.

But it seems that Senator Mohd Apandi Mohamad has other thoughts instead as he had blamed K-Dramas as the cause of youths trying to kill themselves.

During the 12th Malaysian Plan debate that was held in the Parliament, he said that these movies have a negative effect on youths as they encourage teenagers to consider suicide if they don&rsquo;t succeed in life.
&ldquo;Many teenagers commit suicide &ndash; agree or not &ndash; that most of them are too obsessed with movies and dramas from Korea, because all these stories must have suicide. And their films are indeed high-tech there is because of all the technology, do you agree that when teenagers fail, the answer is suicide, when he fails, suicide, are they too influenced by these Korean films?&rdquo; said Senator Mohd Apandi Mohamad.
This comment was given after Senator Fadhlina Sidek had requested for immediate intervention to fight against the mental health crisis which is being faced by the country due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Oddly enough, Fadhlina had agreed with Apandi&rsquo;s views on K-Dramas containing elements of suicide. Additionally, there are several factors that could trigger this behaviour within the youth especially the role of the media.
Alright hold up, I know that suicide is not a joke, and many should take the mental health side of things seriously but come on, blaming K-Drama as part of the reason behind all this? I&rsquo;m surprised they are not bringing up Malay Drama as they normally have elements of being verbally abused in them. Even that can play a role in others mental health.

In the end, everyone should remember that suicide is not a joke and everyone should take it seriously. Hopefully in the future the senators can address the issue better and also look into how there are other factors that play in this such as &ldquo;mentally abusive teachers&rdquo; in schools or even our own local dramas implementing elements of playing/cheating with one another&rsquo;s feelings.

Malaysian Senator Blames K-Drama For Why Youths Try To Kill Themselves

Recently, K-drama fans were surprised by the announcement made by famous South Korean actors Park Shin Hye and Choi Tae-joon who announced their relationship in 2018 are ready to enter the new phase of marriage life in early January next year.
The couple shared on their respective fan forum sites that the 31-year-old actress is currently pregnant.
Park Shin Hye expressed to her fans, &ldquo;I&rsquo;m very nervous to be sharing this news today, and on one hand, I&rsquo;m worried that you might be very surprised by this sudden news. But I still wanted to tell all of you first.
"I am getting married to the person I have been in a relationship with for a long time.

We all know how strict North Korea is as they have been totally separated from the world.
Recently, a man in North Korea has been sentenced to death as he had smuggled and sold copies of the hit Netflix series &ldquo;Squid Game&rdquo; after authorities had caught seven high school students watching the show.
The smuggler is said to have brought the copy of the show from China and had sold USB flash drives containing the series.
Claims from sources in North Korea say that his death will be carried out by firing squad.

Students given sentences
One student who bought the drive had receive a life sentence while the other six have been sentenced to give years of hard labour.
Reports say that a week before this incident, copies of the show have been spreading across North Korea via flash drives and SD cards.
How did the students get caught?

According to Radio Free Asia (RFA), this is the details of how they caught the students:
&ldquo;This all started last week when a high school student secretly bought a USB flash drive containing the South Korean drama Squid Game and watched it with one of his best friends in class,&rdquo; a source in law enforcement in North Hamgyong province told RFA&rsquo;s Korean Service Monday.
&ldquo;The friend told several other students, who became interested, and they shared the flash drive with them. They were caught by the censors in 109 Sangmu, who had received a tipoff,&rdquo; said the source, referring to the government strike force that specializes in catching illegal video watchers, known officially as Surveillance Bureau Group 109.
Introduction of a new law and punishing others

With the incident involving minors, a newly passed law was used which was the &ldquo;Elimination of Reactionary Thought and Culture&rdquo;. It was introduced back in December 2020 and carries a maximum death penalty for watching, keeping or distributing media from capitalist countries.
Teachers and school administrators have also been fired and faced banishment to work in the remote mines and rural areas.
The aftermath of all this had made all authorities to begin sourcing markets for memory storage devices and video CDs containing foreign media. Another source says that one student had managed to get away as his rich parents had bribe authorities with US$3,000 (~RM707).
Boy, can you imagine getting a life sentence for watching a foreign show. But then again, everyone knew how strict North Korea is and heck, remember when Covid-19 first came up, they shot the man who was positive with the virus in order to curb the virus but that didn&rsquo;t go so well as they currently have more than 100,000 people with Covid-19 symptoms and are quarantined in state facilities according to a report by DailyNK.
Well, hopefully one day North Korea will change and then one day they will get to properly see the world. That and I lowkey do want to go to North Korea one day (am I the only one?).

We all know that swear words don't always go down well in Malaysian homes, which is why people are praising this Malaysian mother for teaching her children local swear words with such excitement!
The family was featured on Cut&rsquo;s YouTube video titled &ldquo;Immigrant Parents Teach Insults in Their Mother Tongue&rdquo; and let me just tell you that she did a fantastic job of trying to teach them
The video begins with a Malaysian mother teaching her two children how to speak "Kepala b*t*h,"

The Malaysian mum insisted her kids to say &lsquo;P*k*mak&rsquo; with anger and passion
She explained to her children and the audience that the word translates to a female's genitalia but it is also used as the English equivalent of the term motherf*cker.

When her westernised children tried to cuss it out, you could see the disappointment on her face.

But to be fair, most of us wouldn&rsquo;t be able to cuss properly in front of our parents
She also taught them how to say &lsquo;pergi mampuslah engkau&rsquo;, which means &lsquo;go die la you&rsquo;
&ldquo;Usually to all the b*tches, and Malaysian b*tches. Those who make me mad,&rdquo; she hilariously explains when her son asks her who does she say it to.
That video had left positive comments, users expressed on how much they LOVE the Malaysian mum&rsquo;s approach and her personality and attitude in the video.

His ministry is strategizing a way to grant permission to enable more premises such as chain stores and supermarkets to sell the Covid-19 self-test kits approved by the Health Ministry and the Health Ministry&rsquo;s Medical Device Authority (MDA).
&ldquo;As of now, KPDNHEP has already granted approvals to 7,302 premises nationwide to sell self-test kits approved by the Health Ministry and MDA. The expansion of this selling has already seen this kit&rsquo;s price being sold at RM6.90,&rdquo; he said when attributing the selling of COVID-19 test kits at RM6.90.
The initiative of 99 Speedmart to sell the kits at RM4.90 truly delighted the minister. Cooperation from such businesses like this are much appreciated as it helps reduce the burden of the public.

It is estimated that more than 100,000 Malaysians are stuck in Singapore since the borders were closed last March and they are longing to be reunited with families back home.
According to a press release from the Prime Minister&rsquo;s Office (PMO), the Singapore-Malaysia land border will be opened across the Causeway using designated bus services, Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) without the need for quarantine this Nov 29, 2021.
The first phase of land VTL will be prioritized for those who are entitled as citizens, permanent residents, or long-term pass holders of the country they are entering and especially for those who separated from their loved ones due to the unfortunate pandemic.

The utilization of the land VTL does not fulfill for tourism is still not allowed at the moment.
Let's say, a Singaporean citizen who is currently in Singapore wishes to visit Johor Bahru and return back to Singapore is yet to be allowed for the first phase.
Okay, land VTL but how does it work? 
First, have a read of this article till the end, because obviously, you have to.
Second, travelers on VTL (Land) must arrive by designated VTL (Land) bus services.
Travelers who possess other than the land VTL (such as private transport or walking across the Causeway) will be transferred to border control measures, which they will have to show their seven-day Stay-Home Notice.
Third, travelers have options to choose from two official designated bus services entering Singapore across the Causeway as the ticket are available starts today Nov 25 at 8am!

Friendly reminder: Bus tickets must be purchased at least three days in advance of the departure date.

Fourth, all travelers must submit the SG Arrival Card with Electronic Health Declaration through <a href="https://eservices.ica.gov.sg/sgarrivalcard/">the ICA website</a> or through SG Arrival Card mobile apps which can be downloaded for free from App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
Another friendly reminder because MYC! is so friendly; the submission must be done three calendar days according to their arrival in Singapore.
The SG Arrival Card no longer uses the paper disembarkation card or "white card" since March 27 last year (2020) at the checkpoints as it is a free service now.
Apart from that, travelers are obligate to be tested negative (of course) in a valid pre-departure Covid-19 Antigen Rapid Test (ART) or Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), taken at a laboratory or center certified or recognized by the Malaysia Ministry of Health, within two calendar days of departure for Singapore.
However, these tests are not necessary for children under the age of two in the calendar year.
Travelers will have to prepare their documents properly for verification during the boarding of the chosen bus service.

"I gained more confidence during my meetings with professionals and was able to handle their questions well, helping me to close sales,&rdquo; said Vincent who recently completed the Master in Business Administration program at INTI International University.
