Whenever we hear the name KFC, we normally would think of fried chicken, right?
But looks like KFC Indonesia has other plans. Instead of introducing new food into their menu, they introduced a line of skincare products instead!
KFC had partnered up with renown skincare brand Dear Me Beauty to produce skincare products such as face mask, sunscreen stick and cream.
Now that’s certainly one way to advertise huh?
The beauty line packaging is pretty interesting too! It features the KFC logo and also fried chicken designs which make it pretty “appetizing”
Now for the million-dollar question, are the products greasy and does it smell like fried chicken?
Let’s take a look at their products
Hydrating Primer Sheet Mask
First up, we have the Hydrating Primer Sheet Mask. The mask hydrates the skin layers and repairs the underlaying skin barrier. It says that it is suitable for all types of skin even for those who have sensitive and dry skin. The mask contains 2% niacinamide and allantoin to aid in calming the skin. It is also completely made from natural bio-cellulose which allows the essences fully absorb into the skin.
Primer Sunstick Broad Spectrum SPF 50+
For everyone out there, you have to know the importance of sunscreen. Whether you’re a guy or girl, it is a must for everyone to wear. The KFC edition sun stick is SPF 50+ and it also doubles up as a primer too.
The application process is easy as you can direct rub from the tube onto your face and blend it out. But hey, doesn’t the colour look familiar?
The pale-yellow colour has a soft texture to make it look like KFC’s mashed potatoes. The product is noncomedogenic, dermatologically tested and suitable for all skin types.
Skin Barrier Water Cream
The water cream is a facial moisturiser with a light, dewy finish and ingredients to help hydrate your skin and reduce visible blemishes as it is noncomedogenic, non-irritating and non-invasive. Don’t worry, the cream does not smell like fried chicken, but it is fragrance free and does not contain alcohol.
So, how much are the products?
The Hydrating Primer Sheet Mask cost Rp33,487 (~RM9.81), the Primer Sunstick Broad Spectrum SPF 50+ is Rp153,545 (~RM44.98) and the Skin Barrier Water Cream costs Rp 139,000 (~RM40.45)
The KFC products is only available in Indonesia at the moment but after a quick look on Shopee, you can find it there but is it authentic? Well, we’ll leave that to you to find out.
Hmmmm. It says preferred seller… Should we try?
