We all know the feeling of going to a shopping mall and not being able to find a parking space. And there are times where we thought there&rsquo;s parking, but it has a small car in it.

But one thing in Malaysia is that we don&rsquo;t always have the best signage placements or even lack of signages in the parking lot and a man was fined RM100 for parking in a spot which was supposed ot be designated to people with disabilities (OKU).
Over the weekend, Facebook user Bryan Chin had <a href="https://www.facebook.com/bryanbotakchin/posts/10158570383313785">shared</a> his experience as he went to the Lot 10 shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur for a meeting and shared how he managed to find a parking hassle free.
When he came back to his car, he noticed that it had been clamped. But why though?

"Now honestly, I want all of you reading this to look at [these] pictures without zooming in. Can you see any OKU/disabled parking signage?" Chin said.
Normally an OKU sign would be painted in blue or has a big sign indicating that it&rsquo;s a lot for OKU drivers. But if you look closely in the photo, the sign can be found on the pillar but in yellow.

As Chin was clearly upset, he made his way to the management office to have a word with them.
&ldquo;When I reached there, I told my story to the kakak working there, immediately she told me to wait, and called her colleague. Over the phone she told her colleague (in Malay, and I'm paraphrasing here) "you clamped his car, pls come and deal with this"
Chin waited for the staff to come for about 5-10 minutes but still did not show up. He then took the number of her colleague and was informed that the orders were from his boss who was not working that day.
He continued to argue on the fact that the OKU sign was too small, and it looked like they purposely tried to scam him. &ldquo;If I knowingly did something wrong, I would gladly pay the RM100 fine&rdquo; said Chin. The staff later called the boss again and had informed Chin that he will have to still pay the fine and was given a RM50 discount.

&ldquo;Here&rsquo;s the thing that gets me the most la, if you offered me a discount, it means that you kind of agree that I&rsquo;m right la, isn&rsquo;t it?&rdquo; he said.
He proceeded to pay the RM50 but before he left, he had asked the kakak if many shoppers were fined for the same reason due to not being able to see the OKU sign. The employee did not dare answer and just smiled.
Chin ended off his post stating that he too is struggling, and he thinks that it doesn&rsquo;t take a lot of money to paint a huge OKU sign on the parking bay or even putting a bigger OKU signage on both sides of the pillar.
Lot 10 management took immediate action
With the post going viral on social media, it looks like the management picked up on it as Chin posted an update photo in the comments.

He noted that although the management had taken action, he wasn&rsquo;t contacted at all. The least they could have done was give the man an apology, right?
If its one thing all shopping malls should do is to ensure all their management labels OKU parking bays more clearly and ensure that signages around the bay are also labelled in the standard blue signage.

According to the Brickfields District Police, the incident began around 11pm on 1 July when a black Honda City, driven by a 28-year-old man, was struck on its right-side mirror by a red Toyota Yaris near Jalan Desa. What began as a routine fender-bender turned heated as the drivers exited their vehicles and confronted one another.
The situation took a dangerous turn when the driver of the Toyota Yaris suddenly pulled out what appeared to be a black pistol and pointed it directly at the complainant. The weapon was allegedly used to threaten the victim during the argument, creating a highly distressing scene.
Fearing for his safety, the Honda driver lodged a police report at 12.55am the following morning. Police officers responded swiftly to the report and managed to apprehend two suspects, aged 19 and 27, later that day.
Weapon Found to Be Replica Purchased on TikTok

Brickfields police chief Assistant Commissioner Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood confirmed the detail in a statement, noting that the weapon was &ldquo;an imitation, not capable of discharging live ammunition, but still capable of causing fear and alarm among the public.&rdquo;
He further revealed that one of the suspects may have been under the influence of alcohol during the incident, although this aspect of the investigation is ongoing.
Four-Day Remand Granted

Additionally, the suspects are also being investigated under Section 36(1) of the Arms Act 1960 for possession of an imitation firearm, which carries similar penalties upon conviction.

The case gained public attention after a video of the incident began circulating on social media, showing one of the suspects pointing the weapon during the verbal altercation. Beyond that, riders must stay constantly alert &mdash; navigating traffic, avoiding accidents, and meeting tight delivery timelines.
&ldquo;It&rsquo;s either scorching hot or you get drenched,&rdquo; he explains. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s exhausting, and you&rsquo;re risking your life on the road every single day.&rdquo;
His typical day may not involve office meetings or air-conditioned cubicles, but it demands more stamina and situational awareness than many white-collar jobs.
Despite the hardships, Afiq says mental discipline is the key. &ldquo;You are your own boss, but people forget that being a boss is hard. There&rsquo;s no one chasing you to work &mdash; so you have to be consistent and motivated.&rdquo;

He keeps detailed records, sets weekly targets (like hitting 180 orders), and takes advantage of platform incentives. On one particular week in May, he earned S$1,283 before incentives, and an additional S$150 bonus for reaching his delivery goal.

While Afiq is proud of his achievements, he is realistic about the nature of platform work. &ldquo;There&rsquo;s no promotion, no HR department planning your career,&rdquo; he says. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s not for everyone. You have to make it work for you.&rdquo;

In response to these challenges, the Ministry of Health has moved forward with legislative reforms designed to bolster Malaysia&rsquo;s specialist workforce and ensure fairer access to advanced medical care.
Effective from 1 July, the Medical (Amendment) Regulations 2025 and the Medical Act (Amendment) 2024 have come into force. Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad described the changes as a major step towards creating a more transparent, inclusive, and competency-based system for medical specialists.
Key features of the amendments include:
