<p>Does anyone remember the time AirAsia announced the time AirAsia wanted to start auditions as they were finding Malaysia&rsquo;s next VTuber or also known as Project Kavvaii?</p>

<p>Well, it looks like Project Kavvaii has announced that they are looking for two new VTuber talents. For those who don&rsquo;t know what VTubers are, they are essentially live streamers who use anime-inspired avatars.</p>
<p>For the two chosen talents, they will be paired with Aozora Kurumi, AirAsia&rsquo;s first virtual idol who debuted in May 2021.</p>

<p>For those who did not know, VTubers have been quite popular recently as there are more than 10,000 active VTubers out there. They do the exact same thing as normal YouTubers which is content creation on YouTube or even live streaming via Twitch.</p>
<p>The idea of creating content with just an avatar is pretty cool but there are times where you could accidentally reveal yourself to your audience.</p>
<p>If you&rsquo;re interested, AirAsia says you should be a streamer who enjoys singing, hosting, gaming interacting with communities and would like to explore more into the world of a content creating career.</p>
<p>The selected talents will receive a one-year contract and will have access to a support team with a complete set of tools for streaming.</p>

<p>If you&rsquo;re interested, Project Kavvaii submissions will be open till the 31<sup> </sup>December 2021. Participants would need to submit a 2-minute introduction showcasing your best talents.</p>

AirAsia Is Looking For Their New Virtual Talents!

<p>Many people consider themselves as brave, but are you brave enough to even think about carrying a deceased body with you? Well that&rsquo;s exactly what had occurred in Thailand, where a 25-year-old volunteered to retrieve a man's body out of the forest, and here&rsquo;s why.</p>
<p>A rescue team was assigned to transport the body of a middle-aged man who was found dead in the forest in Wiang Pa Pao district in Chiang Rai province.</p>
<p>The Siam Ruamjai Foundation&rsquo;s ambulance could not reach the exact location where the dead body was found, therefore the rescue team had to ride motorbikes for over an hour in order to reach the site. &nbsp;The original plan was to make their very own bamboo stretcher to carry the body out, however that would have the taken the team an extra hour to cut the bamboo trees, and make a stretcher similar to the image below.</p>

<p>As the night was approaching, and rain clouds forming in the sky, Jaturon Duangrat, a 25-year-old member of the rescue team, &nbsp;bravely volunteers to carry the body to the ambulance. <em>&ldquo;This way, we can save time,&rdquo;</em> the young male said to his colleagues, as he offers to take the body on his motorbike, by carefully wrapping the dead man&rsquo;s corpse onto his back with the help of his team, before beginning his difficult ride out of the forest.</p>
<p>The operation actually took place in late May, however only now has it become widely known when an unnamed friend of Jaturon had shared the story onto social media. Many Thai netizens praised Jaturon for his bravery and dedication in performing his duties and completing his mission.</p>

<p>Eleanor had stated that she and her boyfriend were planning to book a homestay for his family&rsquo;s annual Christmas trip and had called up the property agent to clarify some questions about the property before deciding to book it.</p>
<p>She and the agent had also spoked in mandarin during their conversation and initially all went smoothly. But things took a turn when her boyfriend reached out to the same agent as he was asked to declare his race upon asking about the Airbnb.</p>
<p>Typically, everyone would get confused on why someone would do such thing and naturally he had asked upon the matter. The agent replied that they would only rent it to Chinese and Malay people and had also cancelled their booking following the conversation.</p>

#Racist Airbnb Host Cancels Couples Booking Due To “No Indians Allowed” Rule

<p>Right now, the South Asian island is in its worst economic meltdown yet, after years of struggling with financing imports of essentials like food, medicine and fuel. With not enough foreign currency to purchase petrol and diesel, international fuel shipments have been prolonged and will only be available after two weeks, meanwhile local supplies are quickly running out causing a nationwide crisis.</p>

<p>Of course, the increase of fuel prices is a common occurrence, as almost the entire world, including &nbsp;Malaysia have experienced their local fuel costs going up in the past year, and naturally many Malaysians (event the super-rich) are feeling the pinch of the expensive fuel prices.</p>
<p>The government recently announced in a statement that they will be maintaining the ceiling prices of RON95 at RM 2.05 per litre, RON97 at RM4.84 per litre, and as for diesel, it will remain at RM 2.15 per litre. <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong>If you&rsquo;re one to like alcohol, more specifically beer, trust me you&rsquo;ll probably want to try or even maybe avoid this drink when you&rsquo;re in Singapore.</p>
<p>&ldquo;NEWBrew&rdquo; is no ordinary beer out of Singapore and what get it standing out from the crowd. Unlike most beers, NEWBrew is made with recycled sewage!</p>

<p>You heard me. The beverage is a collaboration between the country&rsquo;s national water agency, PUB&lt; and local craft brewery Brewerkz. The drink was initially unveiled at a water conference back in 2018 and had finally gone on sale at Brewerkz outlets and supermarkets in April 2022.</p>

<p>A customer who purchased the beverage mentioned that he couldn&rsquo;t even tell that it was made out of toilet water. In fact, he even said he wouldn&rsquo;t mind having the drink in the fridge. &ldquo;I mean, it tastes just like beer, and I like beer&rdquo;.</p>

<p>Since Singapore is a small country, many of their recourses are coming from recyclable items. NEWBrew uses NEWater which is a brand of water recycled from sewage water around the island. &nbsp;</p>
<p>The recycled water process has been going on since 2003 as it helps improve the island&rsquo;s water security. The whole purpose of introducing the beer is also to help educate Singaporeans on the importance of sustainable water use and recycling.</p>
<p>The idea first sparked when the world&rsquo;s supply of fresh water had been under stress as up to 2.7 billion people find water scarce for at least one month a year. But as time went by, the idea of recycling sewage water had been largely accepted to overcome the water crisis.</p>
<p>Did you know that other than Singapore, countries like Israel have also incorporated such methods and cities such as London and Los Angeles are slowly starting to do something similar.</p>
<p>Don&rsquo;t worry, the water you&rsquo;re drinking has gone through a tedious disinfecting process which involves ultraviolet light passing through the liquids advance membranes to remove the contaminant particles. Once the process is over, the out outcome is just purely water and water is a key essential towards the chemical reactions that happen when the beer is being brewed.</p>

<p>NEWBrew are not the only ones using recycled sewage for their beer but companies such as Nya Carnegie who are paired with Carlsberg and IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute are planning to launch a pilsner with purified sewage soon. In Canada, researchers from the University of Calgary and US Water Technology company Xylem are also in works of rolling out their very own version of a recycled sewage water beer.</p>

<p>So far, not really. The thing with the stigma of thinking recycled sewage water still disgusts many people. A Singaporean student mentioned that there&rsquo;s many other beers around and he&rsquo;d rather pick something made out of normal water.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, others who had personally tried the beer themselves said that they wouldn&rsquo;t of even guessed that the beer was made out of recycled sewage water. They enjoyed the taste as it was refreshing and light which made it perfect for the tropical climate in Singapore.</p>
<p>If you&rsquo;re still in Singapore, you better be quick as the brewery expects the stocks to run out by the end of July as their first batch has completely been sold out. The brewer also says that they will assess the market response first before deciding if they&rsquo;ll make another batch of the beer.</p>

<p>Off the get go, it&rsquo;s impressive that a non-Chinese person can confidently and fluently talk the language but as you can see in the video, even the uncle at the stall was also left in a state of shock when trying to communicate with him. <em>The man was too stunned to speak.</em></p>
<p>One possible reason why most of us wouldn&rsquo;t understand the language is due to the Grab driver speaking in a local dialect which only Sarawakians can understand or is because he really isn&rsquo;t talking in a mandarin?</p>

<p>Not too long ago, he had also gone viral when speaking Mandarin while at a motorcycle workshop. Although the Chinese man in the video didn&rsquo;t seem to understand what he&rsquo;s trying to say, his friends definitely had a good laugh as they were amazed at his speaking skills.</p>

<p>In Malaysia, Chinese languages vary from Mandarin to other dialects such as Cantonese, Hakka and Hokkien. These dialects may also further vary upon the state you live in and family upbringings. At the moment, there is around 22.4% of Chinese ethnicity living in Malaysia but it doesn&rsquo;t specificy how many of them could speak which language / dialects as some classify themselves as a &ldquo;banana&rdquo; (unable to speak ANY Chinese language / dialect).</p>

<p>The movie was directed by Syamsul Yusof under Studio Kembara and had a RM8 million production value and it shattered records as it&rsquo;s earned RM12.2 million since it was screen on the big screens last Thursday (23 June). On the day of the premier itself, the local film had collected RM1 million!</p>

<p>For those who don&rsquo;t know much about Malaysian history, Mat Kilau is one of the most prominent Malay warriors who stood against British colonialism in Pahang at the end of the 19<sup>th</sup> century.</p>
<p>The British reaped the fruits of Pahang&rsquo;s land belonging to the Malays and interfered in the customs and religion of the locals. The British had also showed arrogance reign supreme in the land and Mat Kilau along side Tok Gajah (Imam Rasu) as well as other Pahang warriors such as Dato&rsquo; Bahaman and Mat Kelubi rose and fought against the colonialist.</p>
<p>Their fight had proven successful as the colonialists suffered pressure and lost.</p>
<p>In 1895, it was reported that he went &ldquo;missing&rdquo; and was allegedly killed on the Kelantan-Siam border. His &ldquo;body&rdquo; was &ldquo;buried&rdquo; in Kampung Bunut Payung, Kota Bharu, Kelantan in 1895 but it was only the beginning before he reappeared on 26 December 1969 in a mosque in Kampung Pulau Tawar, his home town.</p>

<p>But wait there&rsquo;s more, the movie is packed with well known names even Datuk Rahim Razali, Namron, Shaharuddin Thamby, Ellie Suriaty, Farah Ahmad and Indonesian actor, Tayan Ruhian as Toga.</p>

<p>Remember when Kingsman first came out, how many of you here joined your friends to suit up and just go watch the movie with them? <em>I&rsquo;m not going to lie; I was one of them and it was pretty funny to do so.</em></p>

<p>But due to the tanjak being too tall or large, some couldn&rsquo;t watch the movie properly as it blocked their view. Some even had to ask netizens to put their tanjak down so they can enjoy the movie.</p>
<p>Although it was dubbed by some for people to wear their traditional Malay clothing to the cinema as excessive, the opinion was pretty much divided as it just shows the spirit for the movie. <em>Come on, don&rsquo;t tell me you&rsquo;ve never went to the cinema dressed as someone from the show before or in support of them.</em></p>

"Mat Kilau" Breaks Malaysia’s Blockbusters After Raking In RM12.2 Million Over 4 Days

<p>Throughout the years, Netflix has released a number of successful shows, and it seems like this year is just as jam packed, with new and original series being released nonstop. As on June 24 2022, the first 6 episodes for the South Korean version of the Spanish heist drama was officially released, however with an entirely different storyline.</p>

It is set in the same fictional universe as the original Spanish version, however it depicts a completely different narrative, making the series more of a crossover rather than a remake of the popular Spanish drama.</p>
<p>The first title announcement was first released in January 18 2022, with a thrilling video of the criminal mastermind, also known as &ldquo;The Professor&rdquo;, choosing between a variety of disguising masks, in which soon we discover that he will end up choosing the eye-catching Hahoe masks, a representative mask that all Korean citizens know, making it the ultimate mask suited for the project.&nbsp;</p>
