Correlation of Quantitative and Qualitative Research to Enhance Cancer Studies Outcomes
Clinical Pharmacists will conduct this half-day workshop by guiding workshop participants through the different research methods primarily used in cancer research.
Part 1: Fundamentals of Survival to Data Analysis
Understanding the fundamentals of survival to data analysis. Participants will also get an insight of the components of the data set used in the SPSS software.
At the end of this workshop, participants should be able to:
- Understand the fundamentals of survival
- Understand how to analyse survival data
- Interpret the statistical results
Part 2: Molecular research supplements clinical data analysis
Understanding the basic implementation of molecular research as a tool to understand clinical data analysis. An insight into the various laboratory methods that may correlate genetic expressions and treatment outcomes in cancer patients.
At the end of this workshop, participants should be able to:
- Understand basic in vitro models
- Understand how to analyse in vitro data
- Correlate in vitro data to clinical findings
