<p>It&rsquo;s been a while since we heard about anything from local singer-rapper Namewee as he&rsquo;s been pretty much keeping his head low. But it looks like he&rsquo;s back but this time, it isn&rsquo;t him causing a controversial drama but being dragged into one instead.</p>
<p>The Malaysian rapper and filmmaker had been targeted by a hacker and according to reports by Malay Mail, Namewee had lost almost 1,000 videos on his YouTube channels overnight. He had since responded to the issue and also has his own theory on how it happened. He also stated that he promises to find the said hacker.</p>

<p>It all started when Namewee&rsquo;s YouTube account acting up and his name on the channel was changed to Russian profanities. Later, his account had suddenly lost almost 1,000 videos had been gone from the channel.</p>
<p>Namewee initially sat silent on the issue. Later, media portal ET Today had reached out to Namewee&rsquo;s agent about the situation.</p>

<p>&ldquo;<em>Presently, I hope to ask YouTube to (restore) the previous content. It was stolen in the evening on 4th April, and it is estimated that the channel (lost) 6 billions views overnight,</em>&rdquo; said his agent.</p>
<p>It&rsquo;s really a pain for Namewee to see his whole YouTube gone just like that as it&rsquo;s his hard work throughout the years. He first began his channel in 2006 and since then, he&rsquo;s gained 3.27 million subscribers.</p>
<p><strong>Namewee takes to his social media to address the situation</strong></p>
<p>Namewee had broke silence and also shared his thoughts in the most Namewee style possible regarding the matter. It took him a bit of time to respond due to him being in Waterloo, London but it definitely did not stop him from calling out the hacker.</p>

<p>He stated that his YouTube channel had been hacked by someone from Russia and he even showed his phone to the camera. He indicated that the name of his channel was a Russian swear word and he guessed the hacker was from Russia. He then called out the hacker by insulting him in Russian and also stated that he supports Ukraine followed by a f**k you.</p>

<p>In a later post, Namewee had took the time to thank his fans and friends for all the support they have given him.</p>
<p><em>&ldquo;I have never blocked any comments that criticize me or even maliciously slander me, and (I) reserve the right to speak to everyone&rdquo;.</em></p>
<p><em><strong>Account has been restored</strong></em></p>
<p><span style="color: #fc0505;"><em>As Namewee&rsquo;s agent had contacted YouTube about the issue, the platform has already restored his account with all the content. </em></span><span style="color: #fc0505;"><em>He has always been known for being controversial such as his film &ldquo;Babi&rdquo; which won an international award.</em></span></p>
