Dmitry Budorin, the founder of Ukrainian cybersecurity firm Hacken, echoed this sentiment, explaining that DDoS botnets hijack devices worldwide. Even if some infected machines were located in Ukraine, it would not mean the attack was planned or orchestrated from there.
