Global IT Services consultancy Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has launched their popular Sustainathon in Malaysia for 2021 for a more sustainable future
Stand a chance to win the RM10K top prize and more in the Malaysian Finale, represent Malaysia and win USD10K in the ASEAN Finale!
The theme for the year is to “Reimagine Education” and TCS invites all tertiary students in Malaysia to help share their solutions to tackle the issues of digital learning in terms of inclusivity and limitations through innovation and technology. Students under the age of 18 as on 20 September 2021 must obtain consent from their respective parent or guardian to participate in the Challenge.
Have ideas to help reduce the barrier of digital learning? Then the TCS Sustainathon Malaysia 2021 challenge is just for you as you could potentially help academy sectors worldwide and the underdeveloped countries to adopt new solutions for their online studies.
Think you’re up for the challenge?
There are 4 challenge areas to choose from as you’ll need to test your creativity to showcase your idea!
1. Digital Divide & Disconnection
To enhance the community engagement and find solutions to provide better and higher quality education support to the B40 and disabled community while employing technology.
2. Absenteeism in Remote Learning
To drive behavioural changes of students and motivate them to be more actively present when learning online.
3. Integrated Digital Learning Platform
To provide a one-stop digital solution for monitoring and managing online teaching and learning among parents, teachers and education institutions.
4. Accessible Education for the Blind
To provide digital solutions and enable inclusive education for those visually impaired and revitalize traditional teaching practices.
Interested in participating?
Teams up to 5 members or individuals aged 18 and above are allowed to participate. 6 teams or individuals will be shortlisted to have an opportunity to present to a panel of judges from November to December 2021.
The top 3 winners will enter the final round to be held in January 2022 while the grand champion and runner-up will proceed towards the ASEAN Finals in March 2022 to pit themselves against other competitors from Philippines and Singapore.
