Driving is something many shouldn&rsquo;t take too lightly as it can also have some serious consequences when you get into an accident.
On Saturday, an accident happened near the entrance roundabout to Dataran Medeka, Kuala Lumpur and it was spreading around social media like wildfire over the last few days.

Facebook user Gobinathan Ramu had uploaded the 23-second long dashcam footage of the Perodua Aruz crash which had took the lives of three men on the scene.
The recording had shown the Perodua Aruz driver speeding on the right side of the road before changing lanes. In the audio recording, it was clear that the passengers were arguing in Tamil and one passenger had mentioned the word &ldquo;colour blind&rdquo;. It was unclear if the statement was aimed at the driver or not.

The car had collided the side of a yellow car which wanted to change lanes and the impact had caused the Perodua Aruz to lose control before crashing into a road barrier.
The car was badly crushed, and it was a &ldquo;total lost&rdquo;.

Some took to the comments section saying that the accident was the fault of the yellow car but many criticized it as the area was close to an intersection to enter the roundabout.
Before you go speeding in a car, remember the dangers you put yourself and others in. Yes, sometimes you gotta say You Only Live Once (YOLO) but this time this incident is literally you only live once.

&ldquo;As I have answered multiple times in the Dewan Rakyat and Dewan Negara, the mechanism is still being refined,&rdquo; Amir Hamzah stated. &ldquo;We do not want to pre-announce something while we are still working on it because the most important thing is to ensure that the system is robust.&rdquo;

This number is set to increase significantly to 5.4 million recipients by April 2025.
&ldquo;If we can use MyKad for 5.4 million recipients with 3,500 stores, it&rsquo;s not that different and we could also use the same system for RON95,&rdquo; said Amir Hamzah, stressing that the system has already demonstrated its effectiveness.

Malaysia&rsquo;s mixed doubles badminton duo, Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei, are officially parting ways following a decision by the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM). Acting president Datuk V. Subramaniam confirmed that the split was made after a thorough evaluation and recommendations from the coaching panel.

&ldquo;We have received the report and final recommendation from the coaches,&rdquo; he reiterated. &ldquo;The pair will be split for upcoming tournaments, and we have also agreed to give the coaches some time to experiment with potential new pairings.&rdquo;

However, these claims were contested by other social media users who shared images showing operational flight information display systems, casting doubt on the severity of the disruption.

From 1st April 2025, all applications for hiking and recreational activities in Selangor&rsquo;s Permanent Reserve Forests (HSK) must be made online via the Selangor Forestry e-Permit System (SeForest). This move, announced by the Selangor Forestry Department on 20th March, aims to simplify the permit application process, making it more accessible, efficient, and environmentally friendly by reducing paperwork.
Previously, hikers and outdoor lovers had to download and complete a form, submit it via email or in person at a forestry district office, and make payments through bank draft, postal order, or cash at the counter. With SeForest, the entire process is now digital, ensuring a faster and more convenient experience.
Which Locations Require an ePermit?

How to Apply for an ePermit

<li>Complete the required payment within 24 hours of receiving approval.</li>

Strict Penalties for Illegal Entry

Offenders could face a fine of up to RM30,000, imprisonment for up to five years, or both. Visitors are strongly urged to comply with the new regulations to avoid severe legal consequences.
Since 1st September 2024, restrictions have been in place regarding the maximum number of visitors allowed per day in 43 recreational and hiking sites across Selangor&rsquo;s Permanent Reserve Forests. This measure was introduced to reduce environmental strain and protect the delicate ecosystems within these reserves.
The daily visitor cap varies based on the size and ecological sensitivity of each forest reserve, with limits ranging from 150 to 300 people per day. Additionally, certain locations require hikers to hire a certified mountain guide (Malim Gunung Perhutanan) before attempting specific trails to ensure safety and environmental conservation.
Temporary Closures for Hari Raya Aidilfitri
