Beggar Takes Advantage Of Kind Man&rsquo;s Offer For A Free Meal

Recently, a netizen took to Twitter to recount an unexpected encounter at a Nasi Kandar restaurant in Ampang. While dining in, a beggar approached him, sharing his plight. Touched by the situation, the netizen generously offered to pack a meal for the beggar, assuring him that he would cover the cost.
Gratefully, the beggar accepted the offer and made his selection of dishes, expressing his thanks before leaving the Nasi Kandar restaurant. Initially, the netizen felt a sense of satisfaction for aiding someone in need. However, when he proceeded to settle the bill, he was in for a shocking surprise&mdash;the beggar's meal had amounted to RM70!

As per the original poster (OP), the beggar's takeaway consisted of a combination of chicken, beef, squid, and prawn dishes, a stark contrast to what the man had anticipated since he hadn't actually observed the beggar's choices.

Well, it appears to be quite a costly lesson, but let's not fault the beggar for his choices; we don't know his circumstances or if he intended to save some of the food for later to avoid going hungry throughout the day. This lesson has certainly been learned, but whenever we encounter a beggar, there's no harm in offering a bit of change&mdash;it might truly brighten someone's day.
