Maybank has specified that the cooling-off period will be applicable to various types of transfer limit increases, encompassing third-party transfers (Maybank to Maybank), interbank transfers (DuitNow, DuitNow-Transfer, and GIRO), as well as FPX and DuitNow transactions through online banking and e-wallets.
Upon requesting an increase in their transfer limit, customers will receive immediate notification via push notification or SMS. This notification marks the commencement of the 12-hour cooling-off period, during which no alterations to the transfer limits can be made.
After the 12-hour period elapses, customers will receive another notification via the MAE app or SMS confirming the conclusion of the cooling-off period. Only then will the new transfer limits take effect for their account.

According to reports from the Civil Defence Force&rsquo;s Hulu Perak operations control centre (PKOD APM), the emergency call from Hospital Gerik was received at approximately 1.10am, shortly after the accident occurred. The bus, which had been chartered privately by the students, was en route from Jerteh, Terengganu, to the UPSI main campus in Tanjong Malim, Perak. It was carrying 48 passengers, primarily students who had gathered in Jerteh following the festive break.
The collision also involved a Perodua Alza MPV, believed to be travelling in the same direction. Both vehicles were headed west when, for reasons still under investigation, the bus overturned and the Alza skidded off the road into a nearby ditch.
Casualties and Injuries: A Sobering Toll

Out of the 48 individuals involved, 13 were pronounced dead at the scene, while two more succumbed to their injuries in the hospital. Recalling his own experience, Muhammad said he earned RM1,300 upon entering the job market in 1984. Today, a typical fresh graduate earns between RM2,000 and RM3,000 monthly&mdash;a marginal increase in nominal terms that doesn&rsquo;t reflect the sharp rise in living costs.
